Even though the monsters weren't horrifying they still did a good job of creeping me out. I actually liked this film, creeped me out so it did it's job. 3/5.. That young girl is an amazing actress.. the next dakota fanning?? Maybe even more potential then that!

This is a really great movie. I think it is a must-see. It's more of a Family-Movie/Thriller than a Horror. I think that's why some people says it sucks because they were expecting a Horror film. I would say it's similar to the animated movie "Coraline"

To be honest I liked that movie. Its active and something else for once! Even so it was not too scary, it was a little and it was everything else then boring. For me it was a good movie! 8/10

Such a good movie. Ignore the negative comments and at least give this a try, definitely not a waste of time. The only thing i see wrong with this movie is that the creatures are revealed a little too early, but none the less, great setting, great score, good acting, excellent story.

I actually really enjoyed this film. Everybody seems to hate this movie with a burning passion, which I think is a little unfair to the film that it's being placated as horrible in my opinion. I watched it thinking it would be a god awful waste of time and actually really enjoyed it. I have also seen the original TV film this one is based on. The remake in my opinion is a charming, unique, little monster movie. It has a child-like charm to it. and the ending surprised me. Rather than take people's word for it see for yourself, it's not for everyone. and it's not even my type of horror movie, But I liked it.

Adequate enough acting. Obscure plotting. Lackluster ending. There were a few good bumps in the night but not enough to be skin-crawl worthy. On a brighter note, I did find the location and it's miniscule details aesthetically pleasing. :) Worth a one time watch.

This movie was a good suspenseful movie and those who were disappointed I think it is because you really didn't understand it! The ending; listen to the voices..... I give it a 8/10 and will put it on my playlist "my search for the best thriller"

To be honest im disappointed with this film was expecting a scary film, still not a bad film, but played more for scares of a child. So i give it a good 6 out of 10

Ya "VERY, VERY, GOOD"... Really loved the animated evil little monsters (Amazing CGI Work)!!! VERY SCARY!!! but, it's what you'd expect from a Del Toro flick... So good its at sometimes, even "Disturbing"... EXCELLENT MOVIE though, a (MUST SEE)... "BE AFRAID"9/10!!!
