The movie wasnt bad but it could have been alot better. They couldve made it a series thing like HP or Hunger Games bc the book def had the fan base for it, but they def didnt go down that route. too bad

The movie is good, but if you know the story from the book you will be disappointed.

Movie started off slow. A little boring. Liked the dragon. The book was way better than the movie.

I think directors should halt from adapting great stories onto the big screen. In the eyes of the fans, it always ends in failure. This movie's great, the story is magnificent and the cast is very talented. With the exception of Speelers, everyone played their parts amazingly. Great special effects and score. Totally recommended if you're a fan of epic fantasy movies.

This movie is ADORABLE! The chemistry between the dragon & the boy makes it great. There should have been a next part...:(

It's a decent enough movie, (love Jeremy Irons as Brom) but as an adaptation is does very little justice to the books. Fox 2000 pictures was trying to compete with Harry Potter and LOTR and ended up rushing the project instead of taking the time they should have to plan it out and adapt the story to film properly. but given the success of the books since the film was made and the fact that the series is now complete, I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes another attempt to adapt it into a movie. And as an avid fan of the books i truly hope they get it right this time.

This is such an adorable movie.

I loved this movie, I read the books (reading number 4 now) it differed from the books alot but I like that. Really wish the haters hadn't been so hard on it then we might have got to see this version of the story unfold.
