Neither too exciting for a thriller nor romantic enough for more than 3 stars. I give it 3/5 for a watchable but mostly sagging movie... love Kilmer and the little kid Bobbe J Thompson are well worth the three stars...

The plot is effective and pretty much the entire movie transpires in echo park. The romance sub-plot works well and didn't feel like it was just thrown in their and overall was a good movie with some tense parts throughout and a great ending.
