Ugh... I hated the first remake so I avoided watching the sequel up until last night when a friend wanted to watch it. This is NOT Halloween at all and I think its an embarassment to the John Carpenter classics. Rob Zombie has basically turned Michael Myers into one of the Horror Hillbillies of today's torture porn sub-genre. *shakes head* Today's awful horror directors need to stop ruining classics like Halloween and A Nightmare on Elmstreet. Seriously, enough already.

Rob Zombie knows horror, I loved his other movies, and with this one he still kept the old horror movie feel to it. 10/10

I liked it :). I thought it was a great conclusion to the franchise, the last child's story. I do agree they need to use the mask a little more because in the movie there is no young michael anymore - this other personality/monster has fully taken over - so to have him wearing the mask would symbolise (to me anyway) that it is the monster and not young michael. Anyways good movie, i thoroughly enjoyed it and have watched it a few time's! I would recommend it.

I really loved the movie. didn't understand the white horse? They should have kept his mask on. they made it seem micheal was on an acid trip.

I gave this movie 3/5 stars. For one the movie had crazy dream scenarios and it was not a good story line to me. Zombie's first movie was the best a true masterpiece. But as they say you can never out do the 1st one. And he proved that to be true with Halloween 2. If you are a horror fan, this is not a good movie to watch all you will be saying is WTF because it is really too far fetched. But if you want to pass the time and give it a go then by all means do at your own risk and spare time to waste.

Okay since no one watched the same movie as I did let me explain why the mask is so important to the character of Michael Meyers. He only wears the mask to kill! Little Michael Meyers said in the first one they hide his ugliness the ugliness being the killing he brings it out and puts it's on to do the deed and takes it back off. He didn't wear the mask for 2 years! And it sure as hell wasn't pristine, hell 40% of the movie he didn't even have it on. I think Rob Zombie took John Carpenters masterpiece and transformed it into his own work of art. It was a butcher fest .

as for his mask looking F'ed up. I highly doubt he can go two years with the same mask and keep it in pristine condition the mask looking only a little worn. The only reason they keep them nice looking is because they are iconic not because they are thinking logically. Hell how is he gonna buy another, he doesn't have money he doesn't think that way. SO yea.

I kinda liked it. it really broke loose of the Slasher formula, and brought about a more psychological take. Yea it wasnt like the second Film in the original series, but who cares. its where zombie wanted to take it. It is refreshing to see the Monster deconstructed what makes him tick. "Being Evil" just isnt good enough anymore. I have heard that one too many times. I loved Lauries decent into madness. I mean c'mon, she didnt seem the least bit phased in the original series. Same with alot of other survivors of Horror who go on leading normal lives after the movie until the killer comes back. It was interesting. I hated Loomis though He was too much of a dick.

The sequel to the remake concludes Rob Zombie's take on the Michael Myers saga. The result, I thought were decent at best, but the film lacked something to really make it a good follow-up to the remake.

2nd remake of the series i think rob zombie did well with both in trying to keep it based to the original but add a little new into it aswell. glad to see the same actors in it which made it more interesting to watch. i enjoyed it alot and i cant wait to see if he continues to remake them all.

I like tis better than the 1st 1. The 1st one had a good explanation abt Michael. Bt tis has all the fun of the Halloween series.

It seemed like he was pulled in two directions: Insanity or whatever makes Michael inhuman (almost) is shared in the family link the two siblings had, and then the other direction, which was Michael Myers was just crazy and so was she (in the end) and all this nonsense. The horse didn't really make sense; everything else I pretty much understood. If Rob Zombie wanted to really make it his own, he should have either done it 100%, or not at all. It didn't make sense with half of his artistic vision, and then half of the original version. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. 6/10

Decent enough, Scout Taylor-Compton was great. Rob Zombie's Halloween was and 8.0/10 and this sequel is a 5.0/10. Lords of Salem next year!!

Disappointing sequel (in my opinion) to Rob Zombie's enjoyable remake. I've seen mixed reviews of this movie - but it just didn't do it for me. 2/5

that was just weird, but okay I guess, not a favorite but it was understandable what the character goes through...confusing ending though

i have to agree, goodbye halloween, the best part was the gore, but they should have made it like the originals with just a bit more twist. I just did not care to much for it, but still alright to a point
