Decent film. I liked the slow pace, and it had good character development. Sweet story, very touching and emotional. Worth a watch.

Barry Pepper gives the greatest performance of his career in tis movie. It is so storng n perfect n the movie itself is really inspiring n sad. It shows tat v should nvr give up n oso should alwayz respect others no matter who they r. Truly a great n motivating movie.

Farley Mowat is the fucking man. I loved his books as a kid, especially Lost in the Barrens .This movie is a nice adaption of his short story Walk Well, My Brother.

I first saw this movie on a common tv/movie website, and fell in love with it. It's not super high action packed, so if that is what you are looking for, don't click... Also, it's a bit long, which I am partial to, but many of you are not. The story line is great, the acting is terrific, especially the main characters. But for me, overcoming culture barriers was the kicker. I also learned a lot about survival. A def fave! Have watched it several times, and will continue to do so. Only because the ending lacks that little something extra, that leaves you feeling completely fulfilled, I give it a 9/10

Very sweet story. I felt the ending lacked a certain amount of wrapping up, but, altogether, a most satisfying tale. Definitely worth a watch! 3.5/5

This is story of an eskimo array array array array array woman who is transported to a hospital to receive medical attention. Onthe way , the plane goes down. It is the poignant tale of how she teaches a white man how to survive off the land and its resources in the icy, winter.... A must watch film- beautiful cineamatography, good acting!5/5

The thing is I live in the Canadian North and used to work up in that area where this film is playing out.They still using those Norsman Air crafts although it's mostly Newer Otters from 1950s and Beavers,Cessnas.But the wilderness is the same some lakes no one ever even fished on.So of course this flick really close to my heart I am fro Europe(Budapest)originally and worked and lived all over the World.But there's no place like the North once u been there it's in you and u can never live anywhere else again.Onl;y ppl who lives in the North knows what am i talking about.It;s total freedom!!!5/5 Thanx
