This was based on the book Funhouse by Dean R. Koontz. The book sold very well until this film came out and then it vanished from the shelves...make of that what you will. Koontz himself is not a fan of the movie but props to Rick Baker (Monster Maker) for the cool freak.

I love horror movies but this one just didn't keep my attention, it was slow at the beginning. It's still creepy and worth a watch for horror fans. 6/10

Whats wrong with you people..a movie doesn't need blood or cgi..to be scary... This a forgotten classic. Maybe you should go and watch a rob zombie film and let the rest of us in enjoy this. Thanks Tobe

this movie was very, very stupid, the main girl character was a horrible actress plus wen she suppose to run she stood there like a dear in headlights waitin for the mutant human to move then she screams....wat the fuck....this was wack..i watched sum 80's horror but this has gat to b the worst...i only watched the whole thing prayin it would get better but to my surprise nutin, the first couple minutes with the boy scarin his sister in the being was cool afta that got pretty lame.....DNT WASTE YA TIME

AT TIMES the books have more details that can be grasp then the movies,, it end up losing its appeal but it was watchable 3/5

TOBE HOOPER'S "THE FUNHOUSE". THE ONLY THING I CANS SAY ABOUT THIS FILM THAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A MUST SEE FILM.
