Solid remake, pretty bloody but not nearly as violent as people make it out to be, just super dark themes throughout. Pretty good acting performances from most of the cast though. 7/10

Just because it is too violent for you doesn't make it a bad film. Time to grow up.

7/10 -- With all the grotesqueness of this one, I couldn't use decent to describe it. Eeeeeeewwwwwwww...!!! for ev-er-y-thang!!! Licking those lil girls, and smelling them, nasty booties, omgoodness, somebodies mind is gone.

I have watched some of the most mind f***ing films this is not the worst by far but there were parts that made me cringe.

Fuckin loved this movie, don't usually say this about remakes but its heaps better the the original, i luuuved Lizard, he's so cute for a inbred monster... and call me sick but i thought that rape scene was hilarious... the movie wouldn't be the same without it.

Wonderful movie. One of my favorite horror movies. This was a very disturbing movie, but still really cool. It was actually really good. The acting was also very good. MUST SEE.

As far as remakes go, this is one of the better ones. Don't let this fool you into watching the sequel though, it's awful.

Man, oh the ending >.< That was the last thing they needed, man. It's like all that pain and struggle, only to go through it again, and lose some of your closest. Oh well. It's a horrormovie :P

this movie had a very slow start, 30 mins in and all we saw were these guys who were looking creepy and family drama llama. but then it gained momentum and biy was it a huge momentum, my friend who i watche this with even started crying. it was so.. i wouldnt say to sick cause it is a horror movie but when rape is involved, i get pretty iffy. there were lots of gore and slash but despite that there is no shortage of plot and cheese. i felt justice in the end but felt rather sad for Ruby :( i was kindda shipping her and the brother xD anyway.. if youre looking for scares i guess this is it :D 9/10

Remember watching this in theaters back in 2006 and it was very freaky and gory, i remember people leaving the theater... not for the squimish, great remake, 9/10 in my book, the sequel wasnt great, it was kind of a let down...

Very good movie. Good gore and good acting. They picked the wrong family. ;-) Now i am off to see the original.

Sorry you feel this way about this movie,BeautyBree. We all have our own likes and dislikes in all walks of life. At 56, I am neither sick, twisted a freak or a serial killer. If you find this old timer so offensive you quite obviously haven't watched that many Horror films, which by the way are not all supposed to be scary. If you want to see sick as in totally sick, try The Human Centipede, which I couldn't sit through for love nor money. Each to their own where choices are concerned.

This is one of my Favourite all timers. I watch it over and over. Acting is Brilliant, right down to the expressions on all faces. The make~up was unbelievably real and I will continue watching until I die.

I love this film. One of the few horrors where the plot and acting is good and the victims fight back instead of screaming hysterically, begging to be killed! There aren`t many horrors that have such a decent storyline. If you enjoy blood and gore as well you will love this movie!

Nasty horrific story with good make-up and heavy suspense. Violent and cruel, this movie is purely for horror-lovers and thrill seekers. In your face human brutality. One of my all time favorites.
