aside from the lack of females, i love everything about this movie! i am actually appreciating scifi more and more :) this movie is one of those movies that have always been popuylar and sometimes i even find myself quoting lines from this even though i havent actually watched it, as a whole. what can i say, it exceeded every expectation that i have. i mean at first it was slow and there werent much lines from the main characters but as soon as they arrived in Tatooine. i was just sitting here with my mouth open. it was awesome, very awesome. i mean, it may even be better from the movies we have these days, the effects were top notch! its from 1999 and yet, wow! and the characters, they make you just care so much about them, it was well-written and consistent, there were even a few jokes. love it 10/10 :) wouldnt mind watching it again even though it took 2 hrs and im on to the sequel!

I saw this in the theaters years ago and my family and I loved it! Full of adventure and the story line was perfect. I don't know why they made yoda look so cross eyed, lol.

This movie is fantastic, the script is fantastic, the whole movie also fantastic BUT...The actors and actresses, let the whole concept of the movie right down. It could have been soooo much better. The only actor / actress I thought who gave a believable performance was the mother of young Skywalker. The rest looked in it for the money. When you look back at the original Star Wars and how into their parts all the actors / actresses were, they put all this cast to shame. I believed in Star Wars when it first came out. like the whole planet did but when I watched this, I kept pushing myself to believe again.

Wow. George Lucas manages to take the integrity and awesomeness of his orginal epic Star Wars Trilogy, and take a MASSIVE DIARRHEA DUMP on it. Where to start with this awful disgrace? Well let's start with this Jar-Jar Binks character. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? We go from Chewbacca the butt-kicker to this Jamaican sounding cartoony dino-rabbit. If you're gonna put such an ATROCIOUSLY AWFUL character in you're movie, atleast have the decency to make him look real. I mean, am I watching a live-action film or a goddamn cartoon? Is this Who Framed Roger Rabbit? THe Wato character talks with an Arab accent, and the two Viceroy Alien thingabobs talk with thick Asian accents. Were you trying to be offensive Mr. Lucas? Darth Maul was actually pretty cool, TOO BAD HE'S BARELY IN THIS THIS PUTRID PILE OF PIG POO. Let's see, who will the fans want more of in the movie, Darth Maul or Jar-Jar Binks? Yea, they went with Jar-Jar. There are a couple decent scenes in this film. I did enjoy the podrace scene, which was very well done. The final duel battle at the end was also pretty cool. The rest of the movie is a stinky pile of bantha poop. And sorry people, the next two films aren't much better. 4/10
