This is one you will want to watch at least once. They did Kato proud as he was the reason people watched the T.V. show, to see Kato(Bruce Lee) kick butt every week. Black Beauty was also a star of the movie. It could have been written better. It's not written bad, it just could have been and should have been written better. But what do I know, after all I still liked it but I won't watch it again. Once was enough.

This movie for me personally was great Seth was made to play these kind of roles a superb new funny man for the new generation. The movie itself being of the super hero genre was estranged from it predecessors due to lack of special effects but nonetheless gave a spoff to what is early becoming a played out genre. All in all the comedy was superb and the movie as a movie should be very entertaining.

I was kinda iffy about this when i saw the trailer. i knew it would be really good or really bad. I've read alot of negative reviews on this but i hafta disagree. it's the perfect bled of action and omedy. seth rogan surprisingly though wasn't the one i was laughing at. the japanese guy might not have good english but really delivers for the green hornet

i like seth rogan. i'm a fan...but this movie is not for him. he's still got that sort of doughy, fun guy that everyone wants to hang with thing going, but now he's an arrogant, doughy a-hole that pays people to have fun with him. he wants to be kick butt bad ass. trouble is he's not. i just sat there wanting to smack him on the back of the head. it's obvious rogan wrote part of this fim showcasing himself. the plot is paper thin, at best, leaving you to rely on the action sequences. some are ok, but they end up being drawn out, repetitive, and unsatisfying. jay chou gives the much better performance as kato, if you can get past that ridiculous accent. kato is the real one to watch here. he makes cars, creates gadgets, kicks butt. he does it all. yet he is relegated to the sidekick. one that rogans unlikable character treats like garbage. he saves the green hornet in every sticky situation. i know that superhero isn't always the most likable character...but this one almost had me rooting for the bad guys.

O.K movie, off beat humor. Cameron Diaz helped this movie out alot. I really liked the Kato character..... Overall just ok.....Some good laughs and some thrill rides through out but what movie does not have that these days. Movies now days are really missing something in my opinion. Oh Good acting maybe. 3/5. This movie is definately worth a watch however...

well it got bad reviews but it ain't that bad, its good on the entertaining factor and technically its average but not bad. i was looking forward to this action comedy flick with silly entertaining theme. and i was entertained and had a really good time but i am not sure i would watch it again. its not as good as Kick Ass of course. when i heard Seth Rogen is gonna play a superhero figure, i was like Whaaaaat? but he is not the technical hero in it, Kato is, and i am in love with him, lol.

Direction of this movie is above average and needs some improvising, needs improvement. Screenplay of this movie could have been more tighter and edgier. it is not that good frankly speaking. editing needs some changing. story is ok and plot could have been better.

visual effects are good, specially the fighting scenes involving Kato. those were mindblowing. good action, fill with humor. needs time to actually develop the plot. could have been better. watch it for a good time, don't expect great things about it.

In all, this movie is a good start for seth as a hero. sweet rides in this movie and the quality so far is almost dvd like....batman and spiderman still rule. for me its a little better than spawn and the story line is ok though not fully sick

The Green Hornet is a great movie to watch with your family or friends, it has great comedy, and action all the way through it.

I watched this movie at the cinema and thought it was great, also Seth Rogen and John Cho is a great choice of actors for this comedy film because they are both very funny

Although this movie is lacking in the seriousness of the original T.V. show from the '60's, turning Britt Reid into a funny, clueless playboy that is slow to catch on to the real things happening around him, in his utter lack of caring, preferring a 'good time', and making the main 'hero' and front man (G.H.) into more of the 'sidekick' and Kato in to more of the role as the 'hero', (a homage to Bruce Lee perhaps? Since he originally went for the main role in the series), I found that it was very entertaining and yes, funny. Although I understand the need to change things.. to make it more modern, I'm not quite sure yet how i feel about the 'big' change in it (any of you who have watched the original, as well as this movie, will know what i'm talking about. Anyways, again I did enjoy this movie very much, and think it's a good way of updating it.... not the best way, but still good. Btw.... does anyone else notice that Seth Rogan's acting, seems like a mesh between Will Farrel and Owen Wilson???

I was a little skeptical about watching this movie, since I was never really a fan of the tv show with Bruce Lee playing the role of Kato. It was kind of cheezy and the action was just outright corny. This new take on that old tv show turned out to have surprised me in ways I never could have imagined. Seth Rogen and Jay Chou brought new life into the main characters, and the comedic humor was a nice touch. The fight scenes in my opinion were reminiscent of Jet Li's 'The One.' The car and the many special effects used throughout the film did an excellent job of bringing this film into the 21st. century. If you like action, comedy, and drama this movie has it all so sit back and enjoy the ride.

What a piece of immature crap. after reading the reactions on here..thought it might not be as bad as the trailer made it out to be..but it was.

Seth Rogen is the only one that acts tolerably in his shouty 'yeah dude awesome' sort of way, that worked fine for pineapple express but looks out of place on a supposed millionaire. even if he just inherited it. he doesnt look a bit like a playboy he's supposed to be. He just looks like his usual loser-in-his-early-40's. all the other actors seem to have received their lines when they happened to wander onto the set, and just spit em out without any conviction whatsoever.

The first fightscene is torture on the eyes. it appears to be choreographed by a junky. then they tried to make it look passable by overlaying it with outdated special effects, which failed miserably, and if possible made it even worse.

The humor is forced, cheesy and generic. the plot is flat, the action horrible, the music lacking, the acting forced.

Dont bother. 1/5, the 1 being for seth rogen for bravely attempting the impossible.

This take on the classic Green Hornet comic doesn't really do the story justice. Artist's license was definitely used, however perhaps successfully, making The Green Hornet a comedy at the same time. I agree that Franco and Cameron could have been more involved. Franco had a great character who could have provided more depth to the plot. On the other hand, Cameron could have had a more original character. However, Chou and Rogen were quite amusing, which comes as no surprise really since Rogen is always a laugh.
In a nutshell, it's a pleasant action comedy with lots of awesome gadgets etc so it's worth a watch, just don't expect to see much resemblance to the characters created by Trendle and Striker. The storyline is fed to us, so also don't expect to have much figuring out to do with this one. All in all, if you're after an easy, entertaining flick this one will do.

Mr. Rogen is a funny man—he was terrific in “Knocked Up” and “Superbad”—with a distinctive voice that mingles chortle, yodel and gargle. None of his comic chops, however, could fill the void at the center of the character he chose to inflict on himself. In keeping with the star’s persona, Britt Reid is now a doofus slacker, an amiable goon, a dim-bulb rich kid who doesn’t have a clue what to do with his inherited money or his shallow life. The brains of his operation belong to Kato, who is now less of a valet and more of a mechanical and electronic genius and kung-fu virtuoso, plus a casual sorcerer who can freeze time. (The movie freezes time too. At 119 minutes it seems all but endless.)

For what problems it does have it is a genuinely different take on this kind of material with a firm focus on action, character and humor. No one else should ever attempt to make a superhero movie quite like this, but for The Green Hornet it works.Very funny movie

The young girl of this story experienced statutory rape by a white male, pregnancy, and the birth of a child taken away by her own mother because of the fear of miscegenation.

Dissociation, going into a hypnotic trance to keep the abuse a secret and re enactments in adult life are not uncommon to this type of childhood abuse.

Halle Berre is flawless in portraying a not very well executed abuse survivor who struggled with dissociation, multiple personalities and re enactments as a caged stripper. She is caged by the seduction of the White American Dream, the glitz and glamour that prevents true intimacy

This film is well cast and well written with characters that you can believe in. This is especially true for the psychiatrist who calmly stated that "awareness rather than blaming leads to wholeness and integration".

It is not the trauma that makes us sick,but the inability to express the trauma.
