Really intense and dramatic, especially the ending. Good acting and plot. I really liked it. Well worth watching.

I love this movie. Saw it for the first time yesterday, and I've been a Johnny Depp fan since his work in Crybaby, so needless to say I wasn't disappointed. He was excellent in this film, as was Cristina Ricci. I hadn't seen much of her work but along with Blanchett she was fabulous in this film. Stunning score, love the plot. Highly recommended!

This movie was very intense and somber. It is one of my favorites. I love the different music pieces throughout the movie. Romantic in a sad and quiet way.

One of my all time favorites. Great story and beautiful music throughout the film...not sure about some of the casting, John Turturro is a bit out of place here, but most of the actors did an amazing job.

One of my favorites since I was a teen. Prolly helped that it had a sex scene! hehehe Well, the picture is outstanding and really puts you in that time and place.
