This is a real tragedy

This was heart-breaking and difficult to watch. You could feel the tension building to the end. A very strong woman. I think its great that she did this film in remembrance of her husband and for her son. A.J. was awesome in it...as someone else said , its nice to take her seriously again. I have gotten tired of her action figure movies. It seems like shes constantly playing some Tomb Raider personna. And she looks so much better without all the make-up.The other movie I liked her in was "The Changling" for many of the same reasons. I am getting pretty weary of most of her recent film roles... it seems they are just made to make her this unrealistic super-female. Now this is truly a 10!

If screaming during labour and screaming during grief is the quantifiable greatness of an actress then Jolie deserves her numerous nominations, including her award for 'Outstanding Performance' bestowed by the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. But her presence is really as negligible as the FBI's investigations in Karachi...

i do not agree at all that mariane is "cashing in" on the death of her husband, as i believe that a story as socially, culturally and historically relevent as this needs to be heard, and i hope this is a movie we will be showing for generations. this tragic story was done with the up-most taste and decency, and so accurate was the portrayal of the struggle to find daniel that i was more than once brought to tears. i also found it very refreshing to see a movie set in the middle east where not all of the locals are set as phsycotic militants, as it needs to be realied that although there are a majority of people out there who wish to cause harm, that does not necessarily reflect of the rest of the populous, or on the hands that govern these troubled nations. i would recomend this movie to anyone, and i think angelina jolie really did the story justice. 9/10

Very Sad true story. It was done well and deserves top rating 5/5 and I have to say I am glad to see AJ finally do something where she is not trying so hard to look sexy so that I can start taking her seriously again!

If Mariane Pearl made any money from the making of this movie, she deserves every penny....I wonder how much Angelina got just for pretending to be her

Very powerful story, It takes a strong woman to have to deal with what she had to deal with. A.J. did a great job showing us the pain she felt, but I don't think we will ever truly know how Mariane Pearl feels about her lost.
