I love this movie. an out break of an epidemic rocks the world to its core as we follow the story of one young man in his fight to survive. always an amazing concept. In this movie the people are infected with "rage" as they put it. I love it! Clever and unpredictable. To then find this burning romance in the middle of all the chaos, it's writen very well I must say. I think it's a must see! So why aren't you watching? What are you waiting for?

This is one of the best zombie movies giving zombies something more then just walking and eating spiting blood running like hell just great fun so get your girl friend and so popcorn sit your ass in front of the computer and have yourself some fun if you like the slow zombie moving slower the a guy in a wheel chair then this is not your kind of movie

This zombie movie is quite different from the rest, most zombie movies you have zombies that walk slow and drag themselves along but in this the zombies actually run and spit blood. and theres plent of gore to go around it has a very good storyline and plenty of action. if you love zombie movies you should definatly check this one out.

Twenty eight days after animal rights' activists release a virus that transforms people into wild zombie-like lunatics, an uninfected man (Murphy) wakes up in a hospital. Together with a small group of survivors (including Gleeson), he starts on a long trek to find safety and the possibility of a new life. But in a crumbling society, it's not just the infected who pose a threat.

Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) turns his hand to zombie movies and succeeds in injecting new blood. Where Romero's classic zombies shuffle and stumble, Boyle's incarnations run like rabid, starving dogs.

This twist isn't entirely new, David Cronenberg has used many of the essential elements here before (and successfully), but these are the first cinema zombies that seem to launch themselves at you from the screen. Even when the characters are technically free, there is a feeling of claustrophobia and confinement brought about by the sense that there are no "living" humans for miles. Garland's script conveys this in unusual places, a scene where Jim (Murphy) wanders across London's Westminster Bridge without a soul in sight is particularly striking. Boyle and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle get the most out of the digital cameras used, for financial reasons, changing colours slightly and leaving a soft-focus look usually associated with sentimental or romantic movies. This serves to increase the viewer's unease, and some frenetic and highly effective editing really hammer home the scares.

What sets 28 Days Later... aside is its daring in all quarters - shooting on digital cameras, sticking to a UK setting, casting unknowns in lead roles and tackling a genre which doesn't tend towards crossover appeal whilst potentially deterring core fans with radical innovations. Fortunately, the gamble paid off - the film was a huge success in America and its place in the cult horror hall of fame is assured.

I loved it. Perfect cast. Frank death was tragic. Burns is awesome. I wish to watch the sequel too. The female lead looks just like Rihanna. A one time watchable.

I left UK couple of year back. sweet memories. London was fucking awesome particularly the transportation facility there. Miss it.

A thrilling, mature zombie movie. Relatable characters, stunning action sequences, top-notch suspense and just the right amount of gore and camp. Brits Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris are solid while Megan Burns is incredibly robotic.

'28 Days Later' actually benefits from a poorer image quality. Shot in DV, the lesser resolution and grainy look do wonders for the post-apocalyptic atmosphere. The film does get a tad self-indulgent during the climactic sequence, but sort of picks up right before the ending. .

A young man wakes up in a desolated hospital. For the next 15 minutes we follow him on a lonely walk through a completely deserted London. Accompanied by a great sound track this scene sucks you right into a world where civilization as we know it has come to an end. He fills his plastic bag with paper money, a move so entirely pointless and led by an old instinct that unfortunately has no more use in a world where you are alone. Soon it becomes clear that he isn't so alone after all and that his very life in threatened by running flesh-hungry citizens, infected by some sort of disease. All it takes is one drop of blood to become one of them. Together with a few other survivors he follows a lead picked up from a radio signal, hoping to find safety. What they find is not what they expected, nor hoped for.
What I like about this film is that it makes you wonder what life would be like when the world is run over by flesh hungry zombies. How would you survive?

The first half of 28 Days Later is a road movie, as Jim and his companions make their way from London to Manchester using deserted highways and facing nearly constant attacks from roving bands of the infected. The second half is a more straightforward action/adventure. The film contains one significant twist, and Boyle adeptly blends elements of horror and drama with the science fiction. In fact, one of the things that sets this movie apart from many similar cinematic endeavors is its focus on characters rather than action. The movie develops Jim, Selena, Frank, and Hannah into believable individuals. The situation is crafted in a way that seems almost plausible, and, once it establishes the rules, never cheats. The film's "villains" have credible reasons for acting as they do, and the ending doesn't feel cheap or false.
