Absolutely amazing Ed Harris. Undoubtedly his best movie. Lovely performance of the 9th Symphony. 10/10

Good study of the character of Beethoven, even if the plot is fictional. Wonderful music by excellent performers. Diane Kruger and Ed Harris portrayed their characters very well.

It is a shame films like this are not indicated to several award nominations, for it surely deserves so. Ed Harris is marvelous as Beethoven and Diane is enchanting as the fictional copyist. The acting is phenomenal, and I don't think I can describe in words what the music is like. I think "heavenly" would come the closest to it. Great movie, one of the best music-related films ever, probably the best I've ever watched.
