This movie is awesome. I knew Hanks was a good actor, but didn't know he was such a bad a$$.

Really smart, exciting all the time, and even charming in the meantime! The music is great as well. And nice to see a brilliant movie about father-son relationship... The casting is brilliant - it is weird to see Craig in a villain-role... :) 9/10

This is an excellent gangster film.Beautiful cinematography and music score. Great cast and believable acting from everyone.But, Jude Law as the villain is who really stands out, imo. Solid motion picture all around and one that will never get old to me. 5/5

Great movie. The ending was spectacular. The tension at the end was heart stopping, you know its going to happen just waiting for the moment. I don't want to give it away. A must watch, even though there are some slow parts. 9/10

Damn good movie! 5/5 Tom hanks, as always, dazzles and amazes us. The plot was good and the other actors played their parts well.

It took me 10 years to see this, and I'm so glad that I finally took time to watch it! Paul Newman and Tom Hanks both were able to convey to the viewer, what fathers feel about the actions and mistakes of son's. The length's that father's will go to protect their son's is incredible in this story, and will bring tears to most viewers eyes. Although difficult to watch at times, a great movie.

The music was beautiful, and although the story itself was violent,and heart wrenching, for both of these father's, I felt it was played out well by both Newman and Hanks. The only person that felt overplayed was Jude Law. He acted too crazed for any organization to trust. Great movie though!

Brilliant Performance by a Brilliant Actor Tom Hanks

I don't even remember ever hearing about this movie!!! Crazy. Ten years and this movie hasn't even existed to me. A member here turned me on to it and it's going straight to my favorites. This is a really good movie. 4.25/5

My third fave tom hanks film behind green mile and the burbs, tom hanks is at his very best and daniel craig makes an awesome sleezy villain. 9/10

Awesome flick! Don't know why many people absolutely hated this movie and said it was boring. Not a lot of action- I agree. but the acting and the drama side as well as the plot are quite strong! so all in all, it was a great watch! 9/10

Tom Hanks is a chameleon, he knows how to disappear into his roles! And I never thought I would actually ever say this...Tom Hanks is a bad-ass:L I love Gangster movies as do most gentlemen and Sam Mendes is one fantastic director this, Jarhead and American Beauty are phenomenal:) To be honest I have never been a fan of Daniel Craig, Jude Law or Paul Newman as they seemed like total assholes in real life but this movie certainly changed my view on them, this is Jude Law's greatest role he has ever had honestly! I liked the little kid in this movie which is unusual as kids in most movies are normally annoying as hell but not today:L 7.3/10 Oh better not forget Stanley Tucci another guy I wanna see in more Mafia movies. Great movie keeps you interested I think Dylan Barker is one strange guy:L

The imagery presented by the movie is absolutely irresistible and masterfully evocated, featuring a bevy of symbolic and thematic ideas. One who has seen the movie could go on endlessly about the greatness and brilliance of this aspect, but there are other features of the movie which are worthy of note. One thing is Thomas Newman's score, which is absolutely superb. It's simply amazing how Mr. Newman creates music so appropriate and fitting to the tone of the movie, and it just adds a ridiculous amount to the already-rich viewing experience. The premise is attractive and has potential, but unfortunately its execution is fatally flawed. Some parts of the story itself are troubled, and it's hard to even comprehend what is going on on-screen occasionally. There are some strange plots involving bank heists halfway through the film, which are very entertaining to watch but seemingly out-of-the-blue. Then Al Capone is intertwined into the story, and we get perplexed and baffled even more. Indeed, this side of the movie mars Road to Perdition significantly but, overall, it was "minimal casualties" of the storytelling.

this is just a beautiful films , its hard for most films to be seen as beautiful. my god is this compelling , i cried , felt overwhelment , excitement. This is wonderfully directed and visualize from jude law ending a man on last stand to paul newman death scene to hanks death scene. absoulutely brilliant. Paul Newman had some of the best lines ever. Daniel Craig die like a bitch. lool
