Some of you saying its atypical plot. You forgetting this was directed in 1999 this and I think this is a foundation to all other crime mystery movies that came after this a true classic. John Travolta at his best as always. A very well plotted film.

I love this movie,I love anything Travolta.One of the best if not the best.

The book was better. There is also a part 2 to this movie. It's suppose to come out in 2011, it's called Up Country. I read the book and it was excellent.

5 stars. I really like this movie and the actors in it like Madelin Stowe and the guy from pulp fiction. The woman who played the General's daughter was also a great actress. :) JUlliette

What a waste, not the movie! Being a Travolta's fan, I would never say that but what i am mentioning is the innocent girl. I am not so sure what exactly they wanted to project but is this what happens to the girls joining army?

I had to watch this film twice but not by choice and it just got worse for me. It wasn't a terrible film but nothing memorable at all. Typical plot with predictable conflicts and it didn't surprise at all. The whole S&M twist was distasteful and didn't fit in the plot at all. 2/5
