Pretty good, Kevin bacon has still got it. 9/10

Good movie, it was really deep and engaging. As usual Kevin Bacon acting was superb. If you like this movie you might also enjoy The Machinist with Christian Bale. 9/10 on this one!

This film does a great job of tackling a very touchy (no pun intended) subject and had me gripped throughout. The park bench scene particularly brought a tear to my eye, well acted all round. 8/10

This is such a good, but disturbing movie. Kevin Bacon did amazing in this. Some people are pretty messed up. This movie was also kind of touching and had some sad spots in there, especially at the end. This is definetly worth seeing.

This is a film that will have you asking yourself "what would I do?" It's an intense, deep movie that keeps one interested throughout the entire thing. Kevin Bacon was excellent as the pedophile on the road to redemption and Kyra Sedgwick was wonderful as his spunky yet somewhat-broken girlfriend. It made for a great dynamic. I will not lie and say that this movie is not heart wrenching and sometimes downright enraging but each scene was beautiful as it gave a glimpse into the lives of those affected by abuse, both the victoms, and the criminals. It's incredible film with a lot of power and a lot to say. The symbolism was lovely as well. 9/10

Well i dont normally watch these types of movies but i have always loved Kevin Bacon as a actor, and i am sure this was a hard role to pull off but he did a fantastic job as usual. I also enjoyed watching him doing a movie with his real life wife Kyra Sedgwick (which plays his girlfriend in here) they have good chemistry together. Disturbing subject but well done.

kevin bacon was awesome in this one, he was the bad guy but made me almost feel sorry for him or somewhere along those lines.. what a hard story to tell but it was amazing to watch and told so well.. 8/10

It's sad to think that once a pedophile...always a pedophile. As a Christian I would hope that Jesus could take that demon out of a person. It would be hard for me to let my children anywhere near a "reformed" pedophile. It's always in the back of your mind as I would imagine it is always in the back of theirs. The scene in the park with the little girl horrified me. I wanted to reach out and strangle Kevin Bacon! He was very convincing in this movie. Shows what a great actor he is. I will never let my kids go anywhere by themselves...too many Walters out there. This is a hard movie to watch but an eye-opener for parents.

Really absorbing movie. Makes you wonder about other molesters, how hard they may try to avoid their demons. It's hard to have pity on them because the whole subject deals with children. "Walter" put his demons aside but I don't know in reality if this is possible. I do believe it is an illness for which there is no cure. This movie showed how society behaves toward a person with unnatural desires and how difficult it is for someone to try to be "normal." It's a great movie that looks at both sides of person who is trying to change himself. Really worth a watch.

We consider this to be one of Kevin Bacon's greatest roles, as others have already said. It doesn't focus on the protagonists past, as most movies with this subject matter tend to do, however it follows an ex-convicts attempt at reintegrating himself into society and dealing with his urges. As far as the subject matter being taboo, there aren't any scenes that would make you fast forward or look away, it is handled very artistically and with great finesse. Our vote - 4.5/5 Worth watching.

Kevin bacon=great actor I think all pedophiles should be shot.There is NO excuse for what they do.

Gives the paedophile and the victims' point of views and back stories, which I suppose are not really surprising; a great paradigm shift. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are excellent. 5/5

@lannie you dont many because the U.S. prison system is a fucking joke. Locking up criminals w/o rehabilitation is why they always end up going back after they are released.

I feel it's a line if gone over there is no return and they should never be let out of prison to prey upon other children.

WOW, what an AMAZING film! Choking and very contraversial, but great! Gets you right in the soul! Quite tense, deep and surprising! The movie is about a pedophile that goes to a great length to overcome his mania... after serving 12 years in prison... Personally, I think that people like that should be locked up forever and rot and suffer in prison for the rest of their miserable existence, as in REAL life they just don't change! Its a serious psychological problem that these monsters are facing- once its in, it will remain with them forever! Having said that, I actually sympathized with Kevin Bacon and his character in this film! The movie puts you in a state of trance in which you actually support and believe in the guy!! Totally worth watching!!! 10/10

what a GREAT movie-So Psychological, Disturbing and intense..Kevin Bacon is an incredible actor, and I love all his films! This is a bit slow at times, and is needed to be due to it's nature, and the building up of characters and story,I recommend it if you Like Kevin Bacon!

I originally wanted to see this movie for Kevin Bacon's performance. I didn't know about the subject matter until moments before viewing. I wasn't sure what to expect. It was very intense psychologically and made me tear up even toward the end. I don't know if I felt for the guy just because of Kevin Bacon's heartfelt performance, but I do feel strongly about how heinous of an act something like this is and I have much anger towards it. 5/5 stars overall, it was very well written.
