one of the best films there is for the times that it was made, There was no CGS or CGI it was all done on tape and film, A classic in all sense, One for all the family at that or any time of the year. One to watch all year round.

this movie is a old classic that many people seen this long time ago for generations this story was told by children who loved this fantasy tale. Judy garland was 16 when she played this flim it's too bad that she pass away her daughter will always remember her. lf the fans get old this movie never gets old too me this movie is really old. it never gets old this is a all time favorite movie classic that people need to watch l hated the the wicked witch of the east when said "l'll get you my pretty & little dog too" lol haaaaaaa....haaaaaaaaaaaa so she disappears in flames of smoke. She was a bitch big time it's good thing that dorthany have meet friends to get to the ememard city to kill the witch by spilling a bucket of water in her face "l'm melting!!!!!! "l' 'l'm melting " "oh what a world what a world the witch deserved it. This movie was really dumb.

Kansas farm-girl Dorothy (Garland) is feeling very sad because a nasty neighbor wants to have her dog Toto - her only friend - put to sleep. She is planning to run away when a tornado blows away the farm-house. When it comes to ground, Dorothy finds she's in the Land of Oz. She sets off to find the Wizard, who will help her to get home. On the way she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who wants a heart, a Cowardly Lion who desperately needs courage, the Good Fairy of the North (who, she hopes, will save her from the Wicked Witch of the West) and lots of Munchkins. Her many adventures show her that magical is wonderful, but home is best.

Once you see The Wizard of Oz, ideas and images such as The Yellow Brick Road, the heartless Tin Man, the scaredy Lion, and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" will be with you forever. The songs (by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg) fitted perfectly into the plot, advancing the surprise-a-minute story-line. The role of the Wizard was originally written with W.C. Fields in mind but, when MGM didn't offer enough money, he apparently told them he was too busy writing the script for You Can't Cheat an Honest Man!

Love it or hate it, almost everyone has seen The Wizard Of Oz. If you're on of those rare species of person who HAS NOT seen the movie, it's based off a book "The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz" by L. Frank Baum. It's a movie musical, as most movies were back in the 1930's and it's very memorable music too. I mean, who hasn't heard Over The Rainbow or Follow The Yellowbrick Road?

The movie tells the story of Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas who is whisked away in her house during a cyclone to the magical, quirky land of Oz. Here, she must make her way to The Wizard, the only person who can send her back to Kansas. Along the way she meets A scarecrow, a lion and a tinman who too accompany her on her treck. But she will soon be at the mercy of The Wicked Witch Of The West who wants her sister's ruby red slippers back after Glinda gave them to Dorothy upon her arrival.

It's a movie everybody HAS to see before they die. All these years later children are still hooked on this magical, classic fairy tale.
