I just have to comment on this one. The comments here really don't do it justice. This was an instant classic when it released and blew many indy film critics away. Any film buff, especially those concerned with indy films will tell you, it doesn't get much better than this as far as feel good/off the wall comedy goes. Touching, sad, hilarous, emotional, dramatic. As far as Toni Collete being too beautiful to play an ugly duckling.. well, that's what actors do, you know? pretend they're someting they aren't? Her acting and facial expressions are perfect. She is so believable. One of the best movies about friendship and the female experience. It's also one of those movies you can watch again and again, it's that good. I don't even like comedies, actually I hate them. Please do yourself a favor and watch this movie.

This is a funny Aussie movie, Toni Collette acted well. Worth a watch.

although toni collete is funny as hell in this masterpiece i think they needed to cast someone who is supossed to fit the stereotype ugly duckling toni collete isn't ugly though!!!

the only thing I liked about this movie was the hot swim guy ... oi was he a pretty boy or what I actually love toni though I just didn't like this movie
