How come this is a comedy movie..!!..This is a pure drama..!!..but, apparently Julian Moore gets all the pleasure..!!..lol...lol..!!

I was disappointed I must say-a lot of hype over the film so I thought it was going to be better than it was-I didn't get some additions to the movie tbh & the relationship between the biological dad and the mum was a bit odd I must say. Altho I do think it portrayed how a family are able to stick together outta pure love for one another even over their differences and arguements so I did like that part of the film.

This is pretty good, the characters are interesting. My only qualm would be that I felt Laser's side of the story just dropped halfway through, other than that, this one's a decent watch. 3/5

AMAZING MOVIE!! It provides an interesting charm that makes it watchable even through the slower parts. Moore was fabulouse in this drama/comedy and is up for a globe along with Bening. A must see! Watch and enjoy :) 5/5

This movie was really good. I kind of felt like there were some unresolved issues in the end, and I hate that open ended feeling. But it's still worth the 5/5 I gave it.

I decided to watch this again and now for my review. This is a remarkable movie with a great cast. The thing that really gives it an outstanding performance is that it deals with real life. I won't spoil it, but just watch out for the middle and ending. 5 stars.

DUDE, really?! First of all I am a LESBIAN and I am in a committed relationship with my wife and there's no way in hell that I would leave my wife for a f*cking DUDE! So before you assume and make comments about something that has no relevance to you, read what the comment is really about. I was referring to films that try to portray "real lesbians" and not the bi-sexual woman that call themselves lesbians. I am sick and tired of watching movies that claim that the characters are lesbians but they are just a bunch of bi-woman and as soon as a the "leading man" enters their lives they have to sleep with him, obviously those scrips have been written by a man and geared towards male audience because those are the projections that "straight man" have about lesbians and being married to woman is a joke to them, so really are you sure you want to be making assumptions about thing that YOU do not know!?! And as for your life I am sorry to hear that happened to your moms, that is just sad...

Really?! Two lesbians are in a committed relationship and one of them decides that she doesn't want pussy anymore and she feels the need to screw around with a dude?! Trash. plain and simple. I wrote how flawed this film is, but the comment would be about 100 lines long, so i decided against it. I could literally do a point by point of how UNBELIEVABLY weak the julianne, annette & the 2 kids' characters were. If this is what passes for "strong, empowering" characters these days, then we're in for a world of hurt in the future. and the 2 main ladies being lesbian had absolutely nothing to do with my complete disgust of this film.

I liked this movie, wish the ending was a little more contenting for everyone though.

Shit happens, Plain and simple. Issues like the ones portrayed in this movie can plague any family, donor or not. Everyone has moments of weakness. But, when a family is strong as a unit, they will make it through and be stronger because of it. I found the movie believable. Although I did for a second feel that Julianne slipped in and out of character from Jules to Julianne a bit. I do love her though. Lastly, the soundtrack reminded me of the track "Somewhere" from the musical "West Side Story." It's like the composer was trying to subconsciously say, "There's a place for us..." Peace.

I thought this movie was very good, a lot of conflict and every day issues are addressed. The acting was really good, and the plot was a new twist on "family issues" and outside influences. 8/10

In the first 30 seconds i was already looking foward to it, as Vampire Weekend played in the opening credits. I enjoyed the film. A lot better than the last one i watched starring Julianne Moore (Chloe). A much different take on the average "american family". Quite a few laugh to yourself moments.

My happiness by the end of this film was infinite :))
