Taken from the novel of the same name, this John Ford Oscar winning movie still has a unique quality about it today as it did when it was made. Henry Fonda is at his best here, the landscape ,imagery and character portrayals are fantastic. Its a movie that can be watched time and again. 10/10

What an excellent movie. A 1940's B&W with 'normal' looking real people. John Stienbeck was a genius. His book told it like it was, he didn't butter things up. An epic tale of life, death and struggle. A true classic. 5/5

Excellent black and white classic starring the late, great and youthful looking Henry Fonda. This was a very sad era in American history. Families forced to move by the god damned banks and despicable companies with the strong arm of the insensitive police goons enforcing their evil actions. There are hints of white exploitation and slavery which is going on with the Hispanic crowd now. All of this sounds like what is happening now in the Divided States of America. Genocide now is what I call it. The government was as worthless then, as it is now. If more people united for the next revolution then it will be won. Guns, ammunition and perserverance will defeat the government of scums that will have law enforcement and military fight against the American people and killing this country from within. There is always someone behind or at fault in the situation. Start with the people who think they are in power. Well it was a movie that brought out emotion in me and that is what makes it timeless. I may even head to California if things get that bad here in Texas. Not really. Enjoy your movie and try not to get depressed. I have to get a tin can to put my soup in...........
