eye opening...8/10

Good movie... Didn't like the ending tho! Like WTF? LOL... Worth a watch for sure. :) :)

Great movie, very thought provoking to say the least. I really enjoyed it. The levels of societal issues and what the movie captures causes one to either rethink what their values are or continue to turn a blind eye to the issues that still plague the worlds way of life. A must see!

Great movie!! It is based on the book "Blindness" by Jose Saramago. I love the book and if you're interested, there is a sequel called "Seeing." I was wondering how they would translate Saramago's themes into the movie. I'm glad to know that they understood the main ideas behind it. They were too brief on the political and bureaucratic criticisms. However, the excellent cast (Moore is simply amazing) and the fact that the filmmakers decided to concentrate on the human behavior aspect compensates for it. Don't let the slow beginning fool you, keep paying attention, and you won't regret later.

Reading the reviews here made me realise that there are 2 camps of thoughts - those who hate the movie n those who think it's great. And that I feel is also similar in a way to the people in the movie, those who work together to make their lives less painful and those who do not n oppose any sort of peacekeeping...also, it makes one wonder if whatever happened in this movie really happened tomorrow, what will we all do? Who will fall into which category? That is why I love this film because it is so thought-provoking, so humanistic, that it's scary...a lot of people put down Orwell's '1984' when it came out, but it kinda foretold the future...I feel this film is like that...I almost gagged at certain scenes, it's really raw n sick...but then life can be like that...Julianne Moore is awesome to watch, and so is Mark Ruffalo. I especially felt sorry for the little boy, to be in the company of some very deranged adults. My verdict for the movie? Highly recommended. And Roger Ebert can be so wrong sometimes.

Overall a good movie. There are some disturbing scenes regarding some of the women being abused but it just made me think about how things like that would probably happen in real circumstances. I imagine it would be alot worse given the right circumstances in real life. This movie isnt overdone, no special effects or overtly dramatic but itll grab you, make you feel uncomfortable. It did me because who knows what anybody could or would endure to survive. What would you do to somebody else in order to do so. 9 /10.

Fantastic film, incredible original story line, an apocalyptic tale portrayed with realism, with a wonderful female heroine, great production, great performances, good watch, 9/10
