Wonderful version of an ancient story!!!! 9/10!!!!

Absolutely fabulous acting Gerard Butler. A really great fantasy. I'll watch it again for sure.

I was expecting a better movie to be honest. It was pretty average I thought, but worth a watch.

It's based on the great English Literature though some part of the movie is different. Your expectations should not be that high. It's a good movie telling the story of Beowulf. But to be honest, I would prefer the animated one.

Without the Supernatural it's all a bit rock&roll and Hamburger Hill and 13 Assassins and , sorry, but Sarah Polley doesn't do as a femme-witch-fatale; 3/5 for incredible landscape photography and the courage of middle-aged actors walking around in freezing ice-cold rivers and downpours; my jewels shrivelled at the very sight of Icelandic baptisms and all that....

How is it based on anything english? England didn't even exist back then,do some history before writting such comments.

Great movie! A more realistic view of the Beowulf tales. Butler was his usual fine self as well. 8/10

I really enjoyed this movie more than the animated one.....love Gerard Butler ...also there were other well known actors and actress in it, if u can see past the long hair and beards..lol...I did.......4/5...good story, but if I was him and found out the real reason y Gredel was doing this I would have went home......lol...They were in the wrong as far as i'm concerned....my opinion.........
