Well, since there apprently was no molten core, when he hit the middle, the pressure would be so overwhelming, it would crush him. Like someone stomping on a tin can.

I have never in my life cried at a movie/tv show. Ever... This episode left me sobbing... Be warned.

To anybody looking for another show like Doctor Who... This is not it. This show is incredibly more serious, very dark, and a lot raunchier. Definitely projected at an older audience than Doctor Who. Unlike the Doctor, this contains Sex, Blood, Extreme Violence, Partial Nudity, Profane Language, etc. & Reminds me of Joss Whedon's Television Show "Angel" But, All that being said, it still is a fantastic show, and if you are part of an older audience, this show is much more fascinating and thrilling, and doesn't hold back at all like Doctor Who. As an avid fan of both shows, I would recommend either to those looking for something different. Highly Recommended, but don't expect a Doctor Who Redux.

"The right kind of Doctor" I almost DIED WHEN HE SAID THAT!!! Being a huge Doctor Who fan I know what happens next, but if you want to know, search "Doctor Who" and it's season 3 episode 11, like gdkool 10 said :)

same as above but there are more than 20 seasons there are around 35 and u should go watch the "new" doctor who that started in 2005 u will love it. if u start there u will understand about 50% of it then a few episodes later u will understand about 70% of it then the rest no one will ever understand lol but no u should watch it

kk there where to many twists at the end but gotta love plan B and what happened to rex that was to much

in torchwood they kill most of the things they come across and everyone knows the doctor is a pacifist (at least for the moment) they wouldn't be compatible it would be a bold move bringing the doctor in but i would love it

ok are you guys seriously having a fight over the origin of the name torchwood dont get me wrong it was fun to find out this info but we are all fans and love torchwood/doctor who so feel free to post stuff like this its interesting but dont do it just to 1up some one

i doubt it very much because they where more bold in there attack on the doctor and if you remember the family had a very short time to live they would die in a few months. no this seams like a new threat from jacks past probably some1 he met or worked with in the time agency. i also suspect john hart (jacks lover/time agent/partner) will return

ya but they clearly stated that it is a morphic field event and if u saw the doctor who episode (S1E13 The Parting of the Ways (2)) then you would understand that just reversing the laws of death would not effect jack he cant die he is a unchangeable fact until he dies (doctor who S3E3: Gridlock) when his life force is completely drained million's of years later

|
ok i just thought about a plot hole jack is a fixed point in space and time (doctor who) how the fuck do you get around that the doctor couldn't and they did it by making the entire human race immortal yet damageable. jack is suppose to be just there, forever, until his life force runs out (also happens in doctor who)

|
do u seriously think there wont be an other episode this is a 12 episode season no one bothers to do research just google torchwood and go to the wiki
| Posted by kemo1000 |
|
yes that was awesome and the jack being able to get hurt thing was a good twist P.S. that happens early on so its not much of a surprise sry

Do you NEED to? No. SHOULD you? Absolutely. A lot of the same writers and directors did both shows and while Torchwood has a decidedly more realistic feel to it, that doesn't mean that the Doctor isn't every bit as good in it's own right. Look at it this way: when they're talking about how long TV shows have been running, nearly all of them have to add the caveat of being the longest 'continuously' running show, because otherwise Doctor Who pretty much trumps them all. 26 seasons of the first incarnation and 7 so far of the new one, with no signs of stopping. And the thing that makes that so impressive is when you realize UK TV isn't like American TV. In the US, they'll leave a show on until pretty much nobody's watching it in most cases. In the UK, when the story's done, the show's over. Almost 35 years on the air and they're still one of the highest rated shows in the UK and gaining popularity in the US now too... they gotta be doing something right.

The only thing that worries Me about the new season is the subtitle: "Miracle Day". I understand that's what this season's plot line is about and that's cool and all but, it makes it sound like it's just some kind of mini-series. I mean, this isn't just a tease and once they wrap up this plot they take the show back off, are they?

lol before I saw the episode I thought you were talking about Oswald Danes. But that ending was so much funnier than that. lmao! I love how They took the "What?!?!" from Doctor who, don't you?

OH SNAP! That little shit- I would have killed him on that rooftop. Oh well- the plot thickens I suppose. Great episode.

The face of Boe... Didn't you see that one? Doctor Who. The Doctor and Martha discover from Jack's own lips that he was once called The Face of Boe. ..

Interesting... I was thinking earlier along in this season "no one can survive becoming ash..." Does that make me mental...?

I agree. There's no resolution in sight. I think it may be a sort of dramatic teaser to get the American audiences hooked so they will tune in for the conclusion. This way they can sign for more seasons in the future and expand the viewers to a larger area= more $$ for them. I'm sort of ok with it, But I do hope for some end to this installment.
