An excellent series! Porkchop is spot on with the description. Beautiful artwork and storytelling.

This is not your typical anime series. There is no overall plot arc, just a collection of short, but really emotional, sometimes creepy, sometimes tragic or happy, individual stories centered around the main character, Ginko. I was really impressed by the beauty and impact of Mushishi. If you like a good story and dont need explosions/gore/nudity and etc because you no longer possess the limits of a child's attention span, I really recommend you watch this.
