This movie gave me chills when I watched it in my younger days. A great classic from the early 70's 5/5

ok, just so everybody knows. this isnt the original theatrical (better) version. this is the 'version you've never seen' version, which has the spider walk down the stairs in it and the c.g.i. demon faces dotted about that, in my opinion, ruin the films pacing and creep out factor. You can tell from the start which version your watching because the original doesnt show the house at the start.

i definately would not reccomend for young kids, i had nightmares for 3 yrs after watching this. but i've watch it over and over now that i'm older and now its still scary but i can sleep better after watching it.

Who would believe that this films over 35 years old,it's still to this day the best possesion movie ever made bar none,10/10.

I'm a Bit older and it's My Favorite Movie of ALL Time....The Omen is second, I saw them both when I was a teenager- OMGoodness!!! The Bad part is Nothing else is ever as good and I haven't seen many that I even like much...I was really looking forward to The Cabin in the Woods... Just can't win ;)

The best exorcism movie. The originality of the idea n the scares are always enjoyable. Certain parts are really scary. One of the best ever!!!!!

When I watched it recently I sorta laughed at the things that scared me half to death when it first came out, but a classic thats well worth watching if you've not seen it 4/5

I am super scared of horrors but this is a movie about the fear of Islam and physiotherapy. Wow I'm the biggest demon so I'm going to fly to America to a house with a cook. Whateves.

I've tried to watch this several times, but always get bored!!! I don't like long, drawn out movies and I guess when it comes down to it I'm not that into possession type movies. To me it's just not worth sitting through the mind-numbingly boring stuff and cheesy mother-daughter lovefests - I get it, she's a good kid, I know there's a huge change in her when she's possessed! Just not lived up to the hype for me. I won't rate it as I just can't get through the whole thing so it wouldn't be fair.

i went to see this in the theater when they re-released it with edited scenes that were originally thought too disturbing added back to the movie. it gave me chills and a feeling in the pit of my stomach i still remember to this day.

Saw this in the movie theater when it came out. It was the scariest thing ever seen by anyone. I was so scared, could hardly look at the screen, but have seen it several times since. It is the scariest movie ever made.

I actually had nightmares after this film!!!! Still with me today, something I'll never forget! Probably not scary to todays standard but creeped me out all the same! Classic horror at it's best! 9.75/10

This was a movie that had lot of effect for it's time this is why there are people that still watch old movies despite if they already have seen it. The producer of these film should be very proud that their work is what most new horror directors use as reference for the newer movies. I myself give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

What can I say..36 years old and it's still the best horror movie ever!!! I hope some day they can make another movie that is half as good as this.
