It's pretty difficult for me to say that one film is my favorite above all others. But when pressed to name one, I tend to go with this.

i started watching it but idk.. i was getting bored.. i fell asleep. but then i gave it another chance and watched it a second time. i guess its not my cup of tea, i didn't really like it. the acting was great , the characters were great but for some odd reason i didn't like the story line , i didn't think it was really interesting.. but just because i didn't like it doesn't mean u shouldn't watch it. i think everyone should watch it and u might like it u never know .

This is one of my favorite films. Bogdanovich at his best. Thanks for posting this. And if you liked this film watch "Texasville" it picks up this story 25 years later.

What a great classic American film! They don't get any better. I last saw this movie about 30 years ago, and I forgot how good it was. I wish they still made movies like this one. Nowdays they're all so commercial. The acting and the sets were so realistic, it made you feel as though you were actually living in that Texas town from the 50's. Reminds me a lot of 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. And Cybill Shepherd's unbelievable beauty resonates throughout. Thanks for posting.
