To this day the most powerful film I've ever experienced

powerful movie, with A-performances. Thsi was the first time i had seen it, i saw mention of it in someone else omment when i was watching Reservoir Dogs, they mentioned the great performances and i had to check this out, Glad i did. Powerful is the only word that can come close to defining this movie. Gives a different perspective on the effects of War, especially the Vietnam War. The Psychological impact of what these men went through was incredible. Brilliantly portrayed by Christopher Walken. He is an eccentric actor, but this was by far, one of the best performances by him i have ever seen. 9/10 all the way, def. worth a watch. Not your typical War Movie, not alot of bangs and booms in the sense of an explosion, the bangs and booms in this movie are Psychological, and way more effective imo. Thanks for the Upload! GREAT MOVIE!

I can’t believe I had never seen this movie, I’m 36, a movie buff (mainly documentaries), TRUE STORY based films (of course), and SCI-FI films, I can tolerate others, comedies are always great but 98% of movies today are PURE SHIT! HOLLYWOOD SUCKS!!! About the movie, A+ to Walken and Bobby, (Fredo from the Godfather) but I can’t remember his name right now all worked great together it’s as if they’ve known each other forever, THAT my friends is acting. Some parts Im still questioning but I’ll get it… *** out of **** stars, I still give FULL METAL JACKET my ONLY 4 Star award to this day. Walken and Gene Wilder are in my top 10 fave actors but in no particular order.

I absolutely love this movie. The way they go from home to war, separated by the beautiful George Dzundza' piano scene. So intense, so depressing. It's sad to see such a great friendship changed forever by something so meaningless as war. 4/5.

This is a classic! One of the best movies ever made. Brilliant acting from the best: Christopher Walkin, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep and the rest of the supporting cast. I watched this in the theater when it 1st came out and have always thought it was an excellent film. Gave it a 5/5!
