Here we have Matthew Broderick star in this very original 80's comedy classic. Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a tricky but harmless fast-talker & he knows how to have fun, which is exactly what he sets out to do when he feigns illness and talks his parents into letting him stay home from school. The perpetually lucky Ferris enlists his hypochondriac best friend, Cameron, into springing his girlfriend, Sloane from class. The three embark on a raucous downtown Chicago adventure. But Ferris, Sloane, and Cameron might not get away with taking the day off. Ferris's sister, Jeanie (Jennifer Grey) is determined to prove that Ferris is faking sick and make him pay for it, and the bumbling school head Ed Rooney is sure that Ferris is pulling a fast one. Theres no need to class the acting here its all seriously good. Its another classic from director John Hughes (The Breakfast Club), this film features a star turn from Broderick as the charismatic Ferris. Also watch for Charlie Sheen as the juvenile delinquent in the police station. The ruse seems perfect, right down to Cameron's dad's borrowed Ferrari and Ferris' unbelievable homeward journey. Its a classic romp that wont be forgotten in a hurry. 9.2/10

He didn't use this time to damage some bedsprings with his girlfriend, or play video games. No, he viewed fabulous pieces of art, ate at a very classy restaurant, participated in a parade, and taught his friends a few lessons in some interesting ways.

As a believer in education as an organic experience, this movie is a real eye opener to anyone wishing to educate their children outside of the public school venue. It's funny, and shows just how worthy time "living your life before it passes by" can be.
