i don t so much about the civil war cuz i m not in usa for a long time and these kind of movies make me understand more things..so i can t compare with other movies cuz it s the first one i m watching about the civil war and i can t compare it with stuff that i know either cuz i don t know very much like i said..anyone can recognize that the acting is so good though!!! worth watching 8/10!!

I haven't watched many films about the Civil War, so I can't really compare this to anything else, but the acting was very good. Denzel Washington was amazing. I'd say this is one of his best performances to this day! Definitly a must see, especially if you like learning about historical events.

Wonderful movie about the Civil War, I don't really like movies about this war, but this was good. Had amazing acting. The end was so sad. Made me cry, almost!

Revisionist BS. Call the subtext behind Ed Zwick's, and Kevin Costner's Dances with Wolves, mythology. Denzel hopped over the noble story and gave a brave performance that elevated the material. Morgan Freeman was also great, always. Philosophically, the themes of these films are very troubling, It's History as much do with Hollywood's invention of it. Good film? that depends.

This is indeed a good movie, and yet can't help to feel a little disappointed. I expected to see a great war film in class with the Patriot or Braveheart. this movie is simply not as good. 3/5

I rewatch this movie from time to time and get something different out of it each time. The classic story of men laying their lives on the line for the "greater cause" keeps me coming back.

this is an amazing film about American history it shows how people can strive to succeed even in the worst of situations and i give his movie a 10/10

American history, glory is a band of brothers type movie and it is worth a watch.Very good movie. forest whitaker not in this film.

This movie still has the excitement it had when I first watched it many a year ago.You can see the brilliance of Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman from back then.I give this movie a huge 10/10.
