episode info: In eerily calms seas Captain Andy juggles crew assignments with adverse results and the crew boarders on insubordinate. The Northwestern continues to grind it out with mediocre numbers. Edgar, who's just about had enough of crabbing, starts training his replacements. Captain Phil begins recovering faster than expected. After off-loading Captain Bill cleans out troublesome crew members. Then the fleet is battered by heavy seas in a massive storm.

Someone has Season 7 episodes mixed up. There are episodes marked E13 when they are actually 12 and vice versa.

Let me start off saying Im new to Deadliest Catch (Im on S1 E3), and I know next to nothing about king crab fishing, so perhaps this has been addressed many times already. Just from the few shows Ive seen, I dont understand why they dont have some sort of safety line hooked to them when theyre on deck. I realize a rope could be dangerous in itself with getting tangled or tripping. It just seems there are times like when they are pulling the cages onto the boat (which seems to me to be one of the more dangerous times of falling or getting pulled over) it seems like just a short lifeline hooked to theyre belt coming off theyre back so its out of the way would be very advantageous and cut down alot on the risk. This would be something they could hook and unhook with relative ease. (Kinda like the one for people who work on the very tall radio towers). Anyways if this has been addressed then maybe someone can explain it to me. So far a very entertaining series though. :)

That would just be very dangerous it would be more like a death rope than a safety rope.

its amazing how the pay for the crew members differ on different boats, the best paying vessel i reckon is the Wizard but keith is a dick. Following the wizard id say is the Time Bandit, it seems you'll have more fun on there vessel too! Surprised Northwestern only payed 40k to there crew members and they were 3rd on the list of the crab count while Time Bandit was 5th i think and payed 72k each and Wizard No1 at 86k each.
