Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper are both brilliant physicists working at Cal Tech in Pasadena, California. They are colleagues, and roommates, although in all capacities their relationship is always tested primarily by Sheldon's regimented and non-conventional ways. They are also friends with their Cal Tech colleagues, mechanical engineer Howard Wolowitz and astrophysicist Rajesh Koothrappali. The foursome spend their time working on their individual work projects, playing video games, watching science fiction movies or reading comic books. As they are self-professed nerds, all have little or no luck with "popular" women. When Penny, a pretty woman and an aspiring actress originally from Omaha, moves into the apartment next to Leonard and Sheldon's, Leonard has another aspiration in life, namely to get Penny to be his girlfriend.

About time that a comedy came about that isn't your average Joe kinda lifestyle, no disrespect to the shows that are, but The Big Bang Theory feels fresh. And the array of characters certainly helps... Sometimes maybe you feel stories are too short because of the 20 minute episodes but that just me being picky. Overall a great show certainly worth a watch! :)

Favourite Character - Sheldon (Maybe Obvious)

Utterly hilarious. This is comedy how it should be; at its very best! The combination of "geeks" and socialising is obviously extremely funny and has created a sort of hybrid! Smart comedy! This has obviously been done before in early morning comedy Fraiser but not on a level quite like this.

awsome show; best i have ever seen in last decade. specially for geeks like me ;) its written and directed by chuck lorre who is also the author of the famous show called "two and a half men" [that one is really famous] But personally I love The Big Bang Theory more because it has a funny edge to it. What it covers and explains is rather the true life of geeks and nerds, about their personal feelings and their life experience.

Its a truly magnificent piece of art.

I absolutely think this is the funniest show ever, the charactors are brilliant and they all play there part well. i hope the story line stays interesting and real. i believe that there is hidden messages and coping mechanisms on how to deal with life and it really opens my eyes to a different world.

A different kind of comedy, more intelligent than Frasier yet not as sophisticated. The comedic audience is narrow, but for those who understand the humor will undoubtedly love it! The personality's of each character play off each other well and it often gets kind of awkward and tense. With the hot girl moving in next door and the four nerds who occasionally try to act normal,(excluding Sheldon). Although I'm afraid the jokes will be lost on most.

There is such a wonderful dynamic of people, you cant help but fall in love with this show! Penny sets everything off just right, but then again, maybe it was Sheldon who steals the show, oh, why don't you all watch it and find out for yourselves how hysterical and great this show is!
