it is believed that she was a beauty contrary to henry's reaction to her. he was turned off by her foreign mannerisms and the fact he was wed to her out of necessity rather than choice. it is also thought his health by that point had caused problems of impotency, a major blow to his ego. it was easier to blame his inability to consummate the marriage on her and his lack of attraction to her.

Ok, why was Anne of Cleves considered a dog, but this Katherine Howard (who looks like one of the mongoloids from Wrong Turn) considered so pretty? I think not. I thought Joss Stone was lovely.
