Simply one of the top five historical pieces ever! So bloody good! The history geek in me gets so excited and almost gitty at every turn of the story. I heard the producers originally were working with a five season time frame, but was cut short due to how extremely expensive is was to keep producing this historically accurate and visually rich piece. Evidently, there was some talk about making a movie in the hopes of finishing up the story, which I guess is good. I'd rather have three seasons to slowly walk through the historical narrative, but I'll settle for a two hour movie I guess.

great show...shame they had to reduce the number of seasons to only 2 due to budget cuts by the BBC. They wanted to make 5 seasons and only found out half way through the 2nd season the show was going to end with season 2. That is why it all seems a bit rushed in the end.

In the top 3 t.v shows of all time in my opinion. I know it was cancelled due to cost, they should have scaled it back a bit with those over the top sets and thousands of extras, This show had such good writing/acting that it would compensate for cheaper production.

It just can't be done any better can it? Rome is sublime and everyone should watch and learn both the history of Rome and how a real show should be made.

Fantastic show, i wished i didn't miss it on tv. Loved every episode, more respect to the grey's anatomy guy. 10/10

I loved this series from beginning to end. Not a dull moment this time in history. I gave it 5/5!! I watched this series on HBO and wanted the set for my birthday. Oh well. Can't have it all. :)

This is a damn good show, it plays more like a movie that you do not want to end. 5 out of 5 for being so damn entertainingly beautiful in every way.

I love this show! I was so disappointed to find out that it was canceled because of how much it cost them to make/maintain. Good news though! They're coming out with a movie in the next couple of year to wrap up the series, and rumor has it that it will include Lucius Vorenus AND Titus Pullo.

Great show! Got something for everyone exept maybe the youngest. A bit to much blood and gore for them sometimes. Those offended by profane language and nudity may also want to give this one a miss. For everyone else this show is great. I rate it 5/5. I only wish that there was more seasons of it!

I just recently started watching this show i don't know why i shied away from it HBO does good shows in the past week I've watched almost the first season and plan to finish the series, it's not as heavy handed in dialogue so it easy to follow I strongly recommend this show if you like Game of Thrones, Deadwood and other period dramas.
