After the last season of 6 Feet Under I was really happy to see Michael Hall returning with this amazing show. It continues the great performance in a male leading role in a topic that is shown from a very fresh perspective which is not easy with a movie theme that has continued to grow very mainstream since the `80 with movies such as Copycat, Silence of the Lambs. Making a TV-Show about a serialkiller that is not the villan but a classical vigilante who gains not only compassion but real and lasting sympathy. This show will/if has not already gained its place as a cult-series.

I have seen all seasons, yet it is only the first season that I really enjoyed. The theme, a highly intelligent and skilful serial killer as the protagonist was something entirely refreshing and new to me. The first season was put together very well. Each episode build up suspense, slowly uncovering the hidden secrets of Dexters past and bringing him closer to his brother Brian. I guess what killed the show for me was Dexter murdering his brother. The killer chose the path of morality, a contradictory move hard to swallow for me and entirely based on continuing the show. It would have been fine with me if the show had ended with Dexter reuniting with his brother, embracing his true nature - a remorseless killer. In the other seasons we witness Dexter struggling with his identity, his loneliness, desire for connection, his urges and each and every time he basically comes to the same conclusions, like riding a never ending merry go round for eternity.

Oh Dexter is awesome! But don't take my (and thousands of others) word for it. If you can spare an hour in your day, spend it watching Dexter, I assure you, it will be an hour well spent.

and the writing, well, I don't think I've any other show beats Dexter in this category.

Michael C. Hall is very deserving of the awards he has recently gotten for this series. Just when you wonder what else can be done, ther is always something the writers come up with! A great sreies not to miss. It will always keep you guessing. Well acted,and a well put togher cast!

One of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I've watched every episode and have liked every one. I cannot remember a single episode where I thought "Eh this one was just a filler, crappy show." Never has this thought crossed my mind while watching this whole series. Fantastic plot twists within every season, not to mention the finales! I cannot wait for season 5 to begin. Michael C. Hall plays the role superbly and the supporting cast, although many are not very popular, do a tremendous job. Great drama/suspense thriller.

Well what to say about this show. It starts off pretty dark, and gritty. Then as the show goes on you start to see that though Dexter say's that he can't or doesn't feel any sort of human emotion he's really just lying to himself. He's obsessive behavior drives him to both kill, and look inside of himself. This is not for the faint of heart, but it really is the ultimate story of an anti-hero. Dark and brooding this is a show that is truly one of a kind. Michael C hall embodies the character perfectly just as his did in Six Feet under!

Dexter: Dexter is a good guy whom kills bad guys. He has never been worried about keeping his secret until his lies to keep him killing the deserved villains. It seems now that his life is out of control. Dexter is smart, sexy, and in deep trouble if anyone discovers how involved he is in the latest serial murder. five stars. Keep an eye on this series, good things to come!

Perfect show, starring Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan is easily one of the most professional characters in a series , and makes the viewer anxious waiting to see what he'll do next. His job by day is to get the bad guys being a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department, while working at night as a sort of vigilante. Will this guy ever get caught?

Dexter is a great show really worth watching!It follows a life of a serial killer dexter who works for the police as a blood analist.The story is great and the acting is even better and you just have to like it!
This show is definitely a favorite of mine and i cant wait for the next season.

Dexter tells the story of a serial killer & how he sees life & blend in from his point of view. Michael C. Hall (playing Dexter) performance is incredible, he's got us all believe he's a true serial killer & at the same time go us to sympathize & even rationalize what he's doing. his passion or hunger to be more specific for blood is what makes him view the world as a non existing killing machine that cannot feel the normal human feelings. Each season is more captivating than the previous one & once you started watching it you'll be hooked till the end. 8/10

Love this episode at it just sets us up for what is to come! it shows us who dexter is in its own unique way and the acting is so right for the show. great episode. great series. great show overall. Hope to watch them all later on as it really is a good show with a surprisingly good plot to it as well!
