Glad I decided to give The Wire another shot. Overall, an exceptional show that really grows on you... finished the entire series in just one week. Some of the characters were seriously awesome.

I agree on The Shield... It's my fav cop show; talk about deep characterizations -- that show had it nailed. I started The Wire some time ago and couldn't get past the first episode ( I found it choppy and boring and I had a hard time understanding some of the dialogue). I'm gonna give it another shot because a lot of people say it gets better as it goes on and that the dialogue grows on you.

I herd my friends talk about this show. I never gave it a chance. All i hear how good this show is so i guess im gonna give it a chance. After every episode i will leave a comment of my opinion i just hope it lives up to all the hype. I havent found a show yet to beat The Shield. I guess we will see.

After five series it came to an end. The creators/writers felt that they had done what they set out to do and finalized the story at the end of the 5th series.
