Whale Wars: This stunning and dangerous limited series spotlights both the controversial Japanese whaling trade and the tactics that the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and its staff and volunteers use to cripple it. Aboard the Motor Yacht "Steve Irwin" the group seeks out the Japanese whaling fleet and then uses it's Delta Zodiac, helicopter, and other innovative techniques to enforce the law, including close-quarters ship-to-ship contact, to disable and/or sink the Japanese whaling ships in the fight to enforce international laws on the high seas where law enforcement is minimal or non-existent. The successful confrontations disrupt whale carcass processing and disperse the fleet of whaling vessels. |

Thank god there are still some people out there willing to risk EVERYTHING for something they believe in. Not necessarily always making the right choices or going about things like they should, but GOOD ON THEM !

im missing how they claim victory... unless they sit on top of the fleet in japan which will never fly in japan so whales are every where. just cause they stop going south to hunt does not mean they have quit hunting.i respect their ambition but its a war that cant be won with potato cannons and stink bombs

I love this show. Its awesome and shows true passion for what they believe in. Those are some good people dedicating their lives to this.

anyone against Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherds needs to go straight to hell! We kill our oceans, we kill ourselves!! No one, {especially Demonik} seems to understand that. and i would love nothing more than to do to him, what the japs are doing to the whales! which is, harpoon him, tie him to the side of the ship, shoot him a couple a times, then send him over to be flenzed {that is cut up and processed} that would be TRUE karma!

@ iluvwhalesushi They stopped a whole fleet of whaling vessels from killing for the next season and possibly longer. "accomplish nothing"??? complete success for them even if you don't agree with the result.

Theres been plenty of episodes where the Japanese blame their faults on the SS. But there's plenty of evidence pointing that their the ones causing their own problems. As seen on Paul's FB Post, the Japanese government is considering to stop their "Research" but nobody can be sure, as they lie a lot... And who eats whale meat besides them anyways?!

DEMONIK. The difference between killing whales and pigs is that we can BREED pigs for slaughter, they are not at a shortage. We cant necesarrly breed whales. Lots of whales are nearly extinct. Just because killing a species doesnt effect your life doesnt mean it won't effect your children's lives. Doesnt make it right by any means. Money isnt everything.
