I love this show, the more straight of the two (same guy who plays Riley in the National Treasure movies) makes it well worth watching. I hope that the show runds for a goodly while.

I'm actually impressed about how the show handled both sides of the political debate fairly. And that quote at the end was hysterical.

"I stayed with him for 10 more years, and help him build his beanie baby collection." LOL my new favorite show.

I like this series so far. It's sharpwitted and heartwarming. It seems to not only ask all kinds of questions about relationship, but also what it means to be gay. They've got a chance here to step outside the box. I hope they succeed

That was too cute. I really like this new show. With great moments and even greater laughs this show is so far a hit.

This was a pretty funny episode, i like to fall out when the grandmother said "she felt a tingling sensation in between her legs, and then she felt light headed". too funny!

Perhaps they aren't trying to 'come close' to Modern Family. And loosen up dude, seriously, it's the first episode.

Personally, I didn't find it horrible. It's in it's baby stage and just needs time to grow into something of its own, which I think it will.

I really like this show.. its funny! I don't think it should really be compared to modern Family, which is another good show.

Ryan Murphy has Done it again! Very entertaining, my kind of humor! <3<3<3

hum...am i little worn out by the premise (we've seen it before); the overtly flippant gay character (we've seen it before); the overtly demure mother, finding herself (we've seen it before); the smart, "too grown for her own good" child (we've seen it before); the introduction of a real housewife (ok we, haven't seen that before but Nene, you blew a line and you know it); the older cougar grandmother (barkin is kinda awesome...her training, experience and delivery is tight and point on); the stay at home dad is...ok...the problem is simple...the flippant gay dude and the stay at home dad dude don't really exist as a couple in real gay life. that relationship is totally off base and inconceivable. all that aside, i'm waiting to see the next two episodes. if they can pull it together by then the show will have a chance. this show deserves a chance but there is a lot of work to do before it even comes close to Modern Family. barkin gets 4 stars...Nene Leeks was saved by one "under her breath line" about her 6' drag queen image, 3 stars and the annoying flippant dude...god, too cute, too precocious and definitely a frivolous image for gay people...1 star.

This show is nothing without Ellen Barkin. Her snarky repartee is what keeps the show moving.

Got bored and the jokes are getting stale at episode 2. when more shows come on air this will not make my cut.

Ellen Barkin has the best female character since Jessica Lange in American Horror story. Hilarious! Laughed and cried. This is a great show, may it continue to entertain.

Most of this episode had me groaning due to the political nature, yet at the same time I think they were very fair in presenting both sides which was unexpected for a show of this nature. I loved the couple at the end.
