Mirai Nikki: Middle school 2nd year, Amano Yukiteru, is a boy who has problem making friends. He thinks of himself as a bystander and will always write down everything he sees in a cell phone diary. Tormented by solitude, Yukiteru began to imagine things like a friend called Deus Ex Machina who is apparently the Lord of Time & Space. Seeing Yukiteru's miserable state, Deus gives him a new ability. His diary will now record events that will happen in the near future. Yukiteru is then forced to participate in a game which the winner will become Deus's successor. |

hey on anime44 are episodes 18 and 19 ready to watch, i would add the lunks here but this site doesnt accept them. episode 20 is coming out after this weekend.

Good series, bloodier than what I initially thought - this isn't for the younguns! The characters have decent depth, and the plot though flawed at times, was pretty interesting as well. 9/10.

I've read the manga (the Japanese comic version) and it was VERY good for those who enjoy that type of entertainment. As many of those who like Japanese entertainment know, the manga is almost always better than the anime (the cartoon version). I'd suggest reading that first (http://www.batoto.com/comic/_/comics/mirai-nikki-r555) before watching this, but it doesn't matter either way. I haven't watched this series just yet, as I'll wait for the season to end (about 12 or 13 episodes) to see if there will be a second season. Don't be deterred by the description because it's much better than it sounds (at least the manga version was). I'm looking forward to see if the anime can compare to the manga.
