Love and Hip Hop: When people think of the hip hop life, they think of the players – the men who shape the music and the blinged-out lifestyle that comes with success. The fact is the hip hop life is different for the women involved: the spouses, girlfriends or artists trying to define themselves in a world where men are still calling the shots. VH1’s new, 8-part docu-soap series “Love & Hip Hop” follows four dynamic women who are connected to the world of hip hop, whether it’s through the men they love, or their struggle to be heard as an artist. “Love & Hip Hop” provides a dramatic, funny and sometimes heartbreaking look into the female side of the New York hip hop life as these four women try to claim their own place in it. Chrissy Lampkin, girlfriend to hip hop star Jim Jones, and Emily Bustamante, girlfriend to rapper Fabolous, are waiting for their men to put a ring on it; however, both men suffer from a severe case of commitment phobia. Olivia Longott, the former first lady of G Unit, is done living in the shadows and is determined to make it on her own as a solo artist. Like Olivia, Somaya “Boss” Reese, a tall, sexy Latina, also has a fierce determination to launch her rap career and become a household name in the music industry. Will these four women have the endurance and fortitude to survive the chaos of the hip hop game and realize their dreams? |

all i can say is...this is not reality...Like who meets up with there mum to talk about how you didn't raise them right (kimbella) over coffee?. erica got her eyes scratched out and now your friends with Kimbella (I hate when they do that its sooo fake like them tits) Emily is such a fool I have no words for her Why does Olivia need to be miserable to sell records? I just don't get it...rihanna does have to spill her life story and she's NO.1 WHY DO THEY KEEP TELLING HER TO OPEN UP SHES ON A REALITY SHOW DOESN'T GET MORE OPEN THAN THAT! n so what if ur mum wrote you letters as a child u were probably a bad breed anyway. all this and YET i still watch it lol

Love this show... Dipset used to be my fav group back when Juelz first came out. Emily my type of chick though, idk why she lets Fab dog her like that. She's a lil bit too gullible and its not even like she really needs his money or anything, I dnt get it. Olivia and Samaya will never make it big in the music industry, neither one of them are that good in my opinion. Olivia is just a little bit better than Samaya though. Chrissie's attitude is a major turn off, I dnt understand how Jim can take that. Yandy is definitely a hustler, Chrissie owes her a lot more respect then she gives her. Mama Jones is hilarious. Kimbella is obviously a hoe that got lucky with Juelz baby. Tiera Maria is just sexy af.
