Watch Spartacus: War of the Damned: The inspiration behind this series is the Thracian Gladiator Spartacus, who led a slave uprising against the Roman Republic. The Thracians had been persuaded by Claudius Glaber to serve as auxiliaries in the Roman legions in a campaign against the Getae, who had often plundered Thracian lands. However after Glaber reneges on the deal and switches his attentions from the Getae to attack Mithridates in Asia Minor, the Thracians feel betrayed and mutiny. Captured by Glaber, Spartacus is condemned to death as a Gladiator, whilst his wife Sura is condemned to slavery. i like this show, its raw and gloriously over-violent for a just above average tv show, and the odd gay scene gets people all in a tizz on the comment stream which is pretty entertaining in itself..

Never made a comment before about any show. Never came close either but have to go along with all the fab comments.. This is without doubt the most gripping, fabulously written and acted series and I have to thank everyone involved in bringing it to the screen. How do you possibly get even close to Spartacus.. Wonderfully entertaining and sadly it will be missed. Guess I will have to watch it all over again and again and again etc.etc.etc.

Why Navia is being blamed for the uproar is beyond me, but I suppose you need to find someone to blame. The slaves were already blood thirst. Caesar played them well. I love this show. The whole gore and inaccurate history. Keep the blood, madness, sex, tormented Nevia...etc, coming..LOL. Love it!!

why is everyone hating on Naevia? The woman is obviously unstable after what she's been through. Hell, if I was born in the 1st or 2nd century BC, I would have probably committed suicide. Not that this century is any better. Give her a break..She's mental. Not like she can book a session with her psychologist. Great epi, as usual. Spartacus needs some muscle...LOL. Damn! The social system of Rome was dangerous and unhealthy. Be born a Roman and you're free...Not, then die a slave.
