This is one of the best story lines about Spartacus and the gladiators i have seen you will be hooked after the first episode.The fighting was bloody brutal with legs,arms and heads getting chopped off. There is also a good love story to it, between gladiator and slave.

Fresh from his victory at the arena Spartacus discovers Surra has been discovered and is only 2 days away.Using his newfound prestige he hatches a plan of escape.
Meanwhile with Asher owing Bacchus a gambling debt he too has a plan of his own.
Who will the Gods favour?.

This is a truly fantastic series a must watch. The actors are amazing and well played out. the storyline is great on all levels if you see this while browsing and you think this looks good then you are right. This is a series that has every detail down to perfection. This series is going to go far and with story lines like these that keep you glued to the screen and on the edge of your seat you will not be disapointed. This is a must watch for anyone that likes action,romance,war and the fight of the human spirit top marks for this series a solid 10/10

I had heard about this show so, today I thought of watching it. And I find the show lame and boring, not to mention that the streaming is awful and I could not even complete watching the first episode (Not that I would have even if the streaming was great). The show SUCKS. Big time. I will NOT even try watching any other episode of it.

About the show: The show is a compilation of cheap thrills, sex (which is added, just to attract audience), disgusting story line and pathetic acting. It seems like a horrible re-make of the movie 300 (which, by the way, had the best action sequences/graphics I have ever seen). And as someone else has mentioned here earlier, how can people roam around half naked in such freezing weather (maybe it never occurred to the editor or director otherwise maybe they could have done better job in making this show)? Another thing which really pissed me off about this show is the acting. The lead hero (whoever the hell he is) looks like he is going to shit in his pants/frock/underwear or whatever the hell he is wearing down there.

All in all I'd say DON'T waste your time watching this.

Spartacus series is one of the best and most advanced film making of our time, in the way the story is told as the dialog flawlessly continues while the scenes are edited in such realistic fashion to show the continued emotions of all involved as the story progresses. The music and sound effect for such epic story also adds so much to the meat of the content on each and every scene that comprise to make the story whole. The action such as the sword combat sequences are one of the most advanced and the best, if not the best, in the way the angles of the camera and the use of slow motion to effectively enhance the realism and excitement for the viewer. It is considered pushing the boundaries and while it's certainly not a G rated prime time show with its highly graphical display of sex and violence, it is done with keenly artistic taste and flavor, and it is understandable that it is done that way due to the ancient times of a completely different culture in which the story unfolds, when what it must have been like during those times.
The story of Spartacus also bears important significance of human evolvement in terms of human rights and the freedom that our world continue to strive for and the sacrifices of our forefathers that led us to where we are today. The gladiatorial blood sport that dominated generations during this era and the entirely different view of sex and death during ancient Roman times is not something that we can comprehend easily, as there is fitting justification for that culture such as the honor and glory of their unique perspective that we can only imagine, and it is what this show delivers with so much intense excitement, realism, and entertainment.
This may not be for all audience, but for those who have an open mind to take a glimpse of a piece of history presented in bold artful production, this is a must see series that will enhance, broaden and enrich their human experience while their stay on earth.
Overall, acting is superv all around by all cast, and it must be noted that Andy Whitfield in his portrayal of Spartacus in Blood and Sand was unequivocally the best ever of all time in all media, and words cannot do justice to how unbelievably good he was. In any scene that he appeared,the emotions that he wore, the frustration, joy, aggression, confidence, exuberance, sadness, bitterness, anger and all other human emotions that Spartacus must have felt were just pouring out of his presence the entire time.
Overall, the people who made this series have done a great job with the prequel, Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance is without a doubt to live up to and exceed the expectations, as Liam McIntyre the new Spartacus was well casted for the role, and is doing a great job filling the shoes that is a hard task for anyone. To sum it up, the fans know that we simply cannot wait for the next episode!
