it was a musical, Kid, because it was a reprisal of the previous musical episode; the book gave Charlotte the magic to switch places with Hanah, so hanah had the severed tongue (cause in the previous show when the studio light fell on that charlotte)

this is so awesome...it just reaches the limit of stupidity but is so genius that it is awesome... i am very sure everyone will enjoy it. contains just the right amount of exposure and craziness... if u don't watch it, it's your loss. 10/10 i just finished watching the whole season in 2 days :D can't wait for season 2

If you watch the series from the beginning youd know that the backstory was already set up. The asian girl was from the previous season before Hannah and Curtis got together.
