Wipeout is a reality game show based on contestants competing through difficult and wacky obstacle courses to win $50,000. The courses are difficult and designed to be comedic, causing contestants to bounce, trip, stumble, and fall, usually into water or mud. Contestants are eliminated until only four are left, and those four compete on a very difficult final course, and the best time determines the winner. Additional comedy is provided through slow-motion replays, on-screen drawing, and the three show hosts.

Ever since seeing the first episode of this show I've been hooked. I'm not the type of person who usually watches reality shows (I despise American Idol, Survivor, Big Brother, etc), or any TV show for that matter, but this one is just different. Wipeout maintains a light and humorous tone throughout the entire show; it doesn't bog viewers down with any drama or personal sob stories from the contestants. Someone else mentioned that the contestants feel like just random people, one after another, participating on the show, but that's what I like about it. The people ARE just random people, they're all strangers to me, and I don't feel like listening to someone's life story (usually some sob story I don't care about) every time I turn on the telly. Wipeout provides one hour of light, happy, and humorous entertainment. It's drama-free, which is a true television blessing in this day and age, and it's the perfect show to just mellow out to.

I highly recommend this show to anyone who has a sense of humor. Even if watching random people fall comically into mud doesn't interest you, you'll be impressed at just how physically difficult and demanding the courses are.

This show is so funny! I laugh all the time like ROFL! Wipeout is the ulitmate TV show! I've been waiting for this like 3 years! I saw every episode till Season 1 , Episode 1! I remember when I was watching Dancing With the Stars, The commercial said Watch out for Wipeout next week! And since then I am watching it! Yesterday, I went onto www.wikipedia.com, and i searched WIPEOUT. I clicked on it, and down below it said Wipeout: The Game will be relasing Summer 2010. And I said "Yay! I'm so excited!!" It said it will be on the Wii and Nintendo DS. I only have a Wii, Playstation 3 and a Nintendo DS! So that's why I reccomend you watching Wipeout. Also, You have to watch John Henson! He's so funny! I think that's why this show is so funny! I can't for Season 3! From , thelucasman321.
