Elena asks Stefan to go with her to the annual Founder's Park. Vicki gets Tyler to ask her, but then accuses him of hiding their relationship from his family. Meanwhile, Zach reveals a family secret to Stefan, Damon tells Elena about the Salvatore family past; and Stefan tries to get Damon out of his life for good.

When Stefan and Damon make a dangerous new enemy, Stefan suddenly finds himself in a perilous situation. Damon and Elena try to convince Alaric to work with them to help Stefan. Matt is hopeful that his mom, Kelly, may be back to stay. After her car breaks down in a storm, Caroline makes a horrific discovery that shocks everyone in town.

At first I really thought that I wouldn't like it, and that they stole a lot from twilight. But when I watched it I found out is isn't like twilight at all. I love it both, and I can't wait for the next episode!

Picking up where the first season left off, Elena arrives home to discover Uncle John's and Jeremy's fate. At the hospital, Sheriff Forbes waits to hear if Caroline will survive the car accident. Damon, Bonnie, and Elena agree that Caroline needs some of Damon's blood in her system to make sure she pulls through. Damon is the first to realize that Katherine has returned and is now impersonating Elena. At the Lockwoods' house, Bonnie meets Katherine and a short fight ensues - Stefan breaks it up. Both Stefan and Damon try to find out what Katherine wants, why she's back, and how much of a threat she is to the people they love. Tyler is surprised when his uncle, Mason Lockwood, arrives in town to console him. Katherine tells Damon that she never loved him and that it was always Stefan. Distraught, Damon goes to see Elena. Angry when he discovers that Elena also loves Stefan, Damon attempts to kill Jeremy, who survives because he is wearing John's ring which protects him from death from supernatural forces. Katherine later goes to the hospital to see Caroline, who mistakes her for Elena. Katherine asks Caroline to give the Salvatore brothers a message, before grabbing a pillow and smothering her with it. Before Caroline dies, Katherine delivers her message - "Game on."

Newly-turned vampire Caroline awakens in the hospital, craving blood, and begins to realize what she is. Mason quizzes Tyler about his bursts of anger. Elena and Stefan try to lead normal lives, unaware of Caroline's transformation. Jeremy confronts Damon. Tyler catches Mason searching for a family moonstone, which Mason claims he wants for sentimental value. At the carnival, Damon compels Carter (whom Bonnie likes) into picking a fight with Tyler to provoke his rage. Mason intervenes and breaks up the fight with his superhuman jumping ability and strength, suggesting that he is indeed a werewolf. Caroline arrives from the hospital to confront Damon, who realizes that she has been turned. He alerts Elena and Stefan, as a ravenous Caroline attacks and drains Carter. Damon wants to kill Caroline, but Elena and Stefan refuse; Stefan promises Caroline he'll help her. The vampire-hating Bonnie is horrified to learn what has become of Caroline, and what she did to Carter. This causes Bonnie to lash out at Damon and almost kill him. Tyler confronts Mason back at home, but Mason denies anything happened. This leads Tyler to take matters into his own hands and retrieve the moonstone which Mason has been seeking. Matt notices Caroline's erratic behavior, but admits that he loves her

Damon takes a trip to Georgia, where he surprises an old flame, Bree and enlists her help to figure out how to open the tomb. In the process, Damon comes face to face with someone who is determined to make him pay for past wrongs. Stefan opens up to Grams in his effort to help Bonnie overcome her fears and accept her powers. While researching his history paper in the public library, Jeremy meets a cute-but-geeky girl named Anna who has her own theories on the folklore of Mystic Falls. When Damon returns from Georgia, Stefan is waiting with news that will change their world.

Damon, Elena and Stefan attend the school dance with a 1950s' theme, where Alaric introduces himself to Damon. Stefan and Damon try to figure out the identity of the new vampire in town, and Stefan gives Elena jewelry filled with vervain to protect her family and friends. To make ends meet, Matt takes a job at the Mystic Grill. Ben comes to help Bonnie when he notices Damon is bothering her.

this is the best show I've ever seen. It makes us feel as if the whole thing's alive. way better than twilight(movie). It's so different from the book and so realistic. love the show. every vampire lover should watch it and non-lovers will love vampires if they watch it.mind blowing show.

Damon takes Elaina on a road trip where she saves his life from a vampire set on revenge. Bonni gets stuck and needs someone to come and rescue her, but will Stephan find her in time? Finaly Elaina descovers somthing about her relationship with Kathrine that will change her life forever.

Vampire Diaries... what a surprisingly great show! Of course, we all know how some of those CW drama shows can go... Although they may have good plots, they are mostly cheesy. Stephan and Damon and the perfect 'good vs. evil' duo. The action in this show started right from the beginning. I'm glad I gave it a chance because I almost overlooked what could be one of my favorite shows now. I can't stop watching.. Suspense, romance, comedy, horror and drama... Vampire Diaries has it all... give it a chance.

This show makes you wanna never turn the tv off. Elenas love for stefan and his brother damon. And sometimes you really don't know what her feelings are. Is it for stefan or damon? There is always action, the show never gets boring. And i like it when there isn't so much fantasy about the vampires like twilight!

The Vampire Diaries is suspenseful action packed thriller about two brothers and their love for a girl. Each episode is exciting and leaves you hanging on the edge of you seat. Each episode keeps getting better and better not to mention the great actors and actresses they have in the show who show an outstanding performance. The special effects are pretty good and the show is good for any viewer if you like romance, suspence, drama, and action. So overall the vampire vampire diaries is a must see show that you should enjoy.

All the ingredients to make an epicly awesome tv show. This show will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended.

As tyler comes to terms with his new instincts Caroline discovers another someone who is thought out to be impossible.Jeremy talks to Anna about his feelings about Michael and Bonnie will a certain someone else catch his eye? Bonnie and Matt share a moment and Elena and Damon get rumpy stefan walks in on them but does'nt care as he goes off to do the same with Rebbeca who's brother shows some feeling for an unexpected salvatore sister who was his pregnant love intrest a few decades back then Alaric decides it's time to move on from Jenna doing so he is sealing his own fate.

the show is awful and so boring and very predictable .the main actors stephan and elena do an awful acting. the story is not original at all and its a copy of true blood. this is one of the worst shows of all time and i hope it gets cancelled

This series is completely enticing. I cannot bring myself to stop watching it. The thrilling suspense of not knowing what will exactly happen, and watching the characters form showing how they may play a role in the coming episodes is mind boggling and teasing. This is the type of show that brings you to a kiss, and gently stops leaving you leaning forward for more... 5/5 stars!
