I really hate this show. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with children or trying to raise a respectful child. The father insults his mother, wife, children, friends, and wonders why his entire family is dysfunctional. Not to mention how it portrays Hispanics and/or Latinos as loud, crass, and rude. Every time it airs as a re-run I cringe and wonder how anyone can watch this without weeping. I can't imagine talking to my mother or father the way the children speak to their parents. Or how George spends most of the episodes feeling sorry for himself and blaming his mother for his own shortcomings. He doesn't treat his wife much better either. Gone are the days when fathers on television were portrayed as respectful, attentive, loving members of their communities and their families. Shame on George Lopez for this. :(
