i expected a little more out of Scorsese on this one, but even when Scorsese's off his game he stills makes a good film. DiCaprio was good and Daniel Day Lewis is getting a little too good at the demented psychopath role. but even with the rudimentary plot the film manages to succeed, the only real flaw was the horrible miscasting of Cameron Diaz....don't really know what Scorsese was thinking this time around, she was good as one of Charlie's angels but in a period piece.....ehhhh not so much. all in all its pretty good, and for some reason it kept reminding me of The Departed, another DiCaprio/Scorsese collaboration, which was a good thing. i recommended it too anyone that enjoys a well-directed period piece about revenge, crime, and a butload of violence.

usually when deniro and scorsese team up the result is something amazing but this was a huge let down for me. its a thriller or a horror like its tagged, but more of just a bland drama where deniro just stalks a family, does a bunch of really creepy stuff and eventually evolves into jason from friday the 13th and by that i mean he stops feeling pain and cant be killed. but he does put on a good and memorable performance that is unlike any character i've ever seen him play and that's the only thing that keeps you watching other than that, and i hate to say this especially about a scorsese movie, this film is pretty boring and lackluster. wouldnt really reccomend it unless your a die hard deniro fan like me.

I didnt expect it to be good but i was at least expecting decent. Usually movies like this are at least good for some action but heed my warning when i say you will regret seeing this, its more predictable then you could possibly imagine. Very rarely, if at all, do characters in a movie actually say the title of the movie that they're stealing their idea from, but T.I. says the words "Italian Job" when they're planning the big heist.

for some reason guy pearce is always trying to mindf**k his audience, and often he tries way too hard and just ends up making himself look bad. but this time he mastered the balance between mindf**k and regular thriller and he leaves us with this amazing movie that leaves the audience in awe. i highly reccomend this to anyone.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 1 year, 9 months ago
its a micheal bay bay movie, what else can i say. He's known for his useless plots and and even more useless over the top action sequences, and this movie is an example of both. and if that wasnt enough he decided to mix some mild racism into his recipe with two stereotypical depiction of black robots that have gold teeth, fight eachother all the time, and neither of them can read, not to mention their constant swearing for no reason. if that wasnt enough he throws in his idea of decepticon anatomy when the audience sees one walking over head and you cant help but see two enourmous balls. this is by no means a family movie, hell, its barely a movie at all, just rotates between offensive dialouge and mindless explosions. if what your'e looking for is a movie with zero plot, pointless action, and to be offended even if you arent black then go right ahead and pick out this little jem in micheal bay's never ending book of crappy movies.
The Karate Kid - 1 year, 9 months ago
Where do i start? Could they have possibly strayed any further from the original. 1 takes place in china. 2 the teacher isnt even named mr. miyagi. 3 THE STUPID KID DOESNT EVEN LEARN KARATE!!! THEY CALLED IT KARATE KID SOLELY FOR THE PIRPOSE OF MARKETING A SUCCESSFUL NAME. 4 its 2 and a half hours long!!! with NO interesting parts. The only reason i kept watching was to see if it would pick up, sadly it didnt. I like will smith, and am actually one of the very few people that didnt think wild west was the worst thing that could have happened, that being said, I HATE HIS SON. He's a terrible actor in a terrible movie and has the most annoying voice in hollywood. any fan of the original should run the other way when they hear the name Jaden Smith and karate kid in the same sentence. if i could pick arating of zero it wouldnt be low enough
Toy Story 3 - 1 year, 9 months ago
To tell the truth i was mad when i heard they were going to make a third toy story because the first to were classics, and even madder when i heard that it was about andy going to college, what kind of weird kid takes toys to college? But gladly they didnt go that route, they pulled another five star story out of thin air and turned it in to what could possibly be the best toy story yet. i laughed until my face hurt, and came terrifyingly close to crying.....multiple times!!!! watch it five times, tell five people to watch it, then watch it with each one of them, itll never get old.
