just as annoying was "Theseus" using a roman gladius made of steel, a weapon from seriously 1000 years in the future .. use of iron in that period should be restricted to lucky meteorite finds or Hittite technology (they had an unlimited supply but didnt share or trade it), not to mention frequent architectural use of the simple archway (from about 700 years in the future) hell even science-obsessed classical Greece in Aristotle's time made no archways, and weapons/armour should be Mycenaean or Minoan, not late-republic roman, ach, a serious shitload of impossible gaffs all the way thru .. no one takes the bronze age seriously, but for Sean Connery in Time Bandits being Agamemnon, the only faultless bronze age scene Ive ever seen .. and that was a dumb skit of a bit! (but awesomely well done)! So there's no excuse really
well I suppose thats possible with a simple bow, but Im not sure Ive ever met an archer who's ever tried it wrong-handed .. Ive certainly never tried it the other way .. the one in the film had the arrow on the right tho, and was fired by right handers .. impossible
lol .. no you cant .. if you're holding the bow in the left hand the arrow must go to the left of the bow, or string twist from your fingers will force the arrow away from the bow .. when its on the left, the twist holds the arrow to the bow. Talking about modern windows and stuff on a bow is irrelevant in greek stories, they were legendarily ignorant about bows even by the standards of the time, compared to cretans, egyptians etc Greeks even seem to think bows a cowardly sort of weapon, despite several of their mythic superheroes being great bowmen (Odyseus, Herakles etc). And even on a modern bow with a window, bows for right handers have a window only on the left of the bow. The bow in the movie had a stack of modern features, but was either unfireable, or a lefty's bow.
Im a third generation archer. When I was 25, I could fire a bow accurately every 3 seconds, but seriously doubt I could do that now lol
