A note about this site - people who bitch and complain about how the "owner" of the site is not maintaining the site, not providing enough links, allowing movies they don't like (i.e. those who hate foreign films and see every foreign film as "anti-american") are missing the point big time. This is a community maintained site. Users post the links, users add the movies, etc. The only thing the powers that be actually do is 1) try to keep the chatbox civil and welcoming to all 2) try to keep the comments civil 3) provide and maintain a place where people can post movies freely. They don't have a secret agenda - they just don't bother to censor, one way or another, what movies are included. While I personally feel that the adult movies could one day be moved to a sister site, I support freedom over censorship overall, because I realize that censorship quickly takes on a life of its own, and eventually everyone falls victim to it. On top of that, this is an international community and so people are naturally going to upload films from all over. You are in international waters here and everyone else - if you can't deal with it, stay on the beach.

On top of it, you are just as responsible as everyone else for posting movies and link. Before you bitch, go and look for a link yourself - if you have been on this site a while you already know where to look. And upload new movies you like too. I can't (and don't want to) stop you from exercising your right to free speech by running off at the mouth like a fool - just keep in mind there are more productive ways to contribute to this community that will solve the problems you are describing to boot.

About piracy: I think piracy is the new revolution, a radical tool through which you can distribute not income or physical opportunity, but intellectual opportunity, which in itself opens doors. Because movies, music, video games -- yes, it can all function as entertainment, but some of them can open people's minds, break down the walls of quietism so they can think clearly -- and freely. A well crafted movie, regardless of whether its a horror movie or a thriller or a documentary, can break through people's perceptions of time and space, and therefore lead them to question other "truths" they have taken for granted. And a surprising number of films contain little jewels of insight into other ways of life we might not have considered, other ways of thinking we didn't previously understand. Piracy brings the opportunity of that kind of education to anyone who can learn to use a computer and have access to one regularly. Perhaps not a perfectly equal system of opportunity, but it is the last, best thing happening in our world and the closest thing to actual freedom that still functionally exists. Piracy gives people access not just to the new "hit movie" they can't afford to see in theaters, but all the movies from around the world they wouldn't know about otherwise. I know that I wouldn't have ever developed intellectually as much as I have if it wasn't for other brave and generous people who take the time out of their day and risking the persecution of corporations and their puppet governments to give other people access to movies, games, books and music.
