allright - lets say you are part of a shodowy US govt arm that wants an excuse to attack Iraq - and a plan comes across your desk, to hijack some planes and smash em into the WTC - this plan would involve thousands of ppl from military and civilian organisations, who you would have to trust every single person to keep thier mouths shut forever - why would you think this was a good plan?

well, the question here is "Is 9/11 a faked attack by the US govt on its own country", is that what you mean?

Spain is the same - they have a King, but elected politicians make all decisions, the King has no power - the difference in Spain is that this was actually started by the King, it was his choice that the nation should be like that, it was not forced apon him by war

the thing to remember is that English Kings and Queens make no govornment decidions - they may sometimes criticise what the govornment is doing, but they have no power anymore

well the characters towards the end of the film expressed discomfort of "England without a King" - different to the French, who slaughtered thier nobles and didnt look back, the English people have a romantic attachment to having a king, even as a puppet, you see? When English afterwards say "in the name of the crown", they mean parliament, who wields the crown's power - "Crown Land" is really land administered by parliament etc they'll probably allways maintain a puppet king, at least for tourist purposes.
