About Me:

my joke of the week:A king offered half his kingdom or a 1000 kilos of gold or his daughter's hand in marriage if any brave man could cross a river full of poisonous snakes and crocodiles.

No one voluntered but one young man jumped in to the river and crossed it without any difficulty.

The king asked:
"What do you want brave man, half of my kinddom?"

The man said: "No your majesty"

King: "Then the 1000 kilos of gold?"

Man: "No your majesty"

King: "Then my daughter's hand in marriage?"

Man: "No your majesty"

King: "Then what is it that you want?"

Man: "The name of the person who pushed me in the river".

Just a thought: I'm 836,870,400 seconds old as of May 22nd, 2012 at 12:00pm ET, or 9686 days if that's easier.(Of course I counted leap years, I'm counting to the second here!)

Well with money, there are two standard influences, Politics and Religion, and I believe it was Voltaire who once said " No man shall be free until the last politician is hung by the entrails of the last priest" makes sense to me...he also said "Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit injustices." and "An ideal form of government is democracy tempered with assassination." Very powerful words with very logical meanings! Oh...and favorite by him, "Common sense is not so common".

Love can be your best friend, or it can be your worst enemy. It can make you feel safe, and remind you why we are always afraid. Love can make you feel proud or embarrassed, lonely, and popular. Love can frustrate or alleviate, bind or divide, be the solution or cause of problems, can help one see, or make one blind. Love is ruthless and excruciating, senile, asinine. Mistrusting, forgiving, faithful and divine. It's all emotion, It's what you make of it, it will outlive mankind. Simply put, love is all around us, our fifth element, everlasting as time.-JMR+NJV

Other great quotes:
"Force always attracts men of low morality" -Albert Einstein

“I am at the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. When my brain begins to reel from my literary labors, I make an occasional cheese dip.”
“Apparently I lack some particular perversion which today's employer is seeking.”
“My life is a rather grim one. One day I shall perhaps describe it to you in great detail.”
“I refuse to "look up." Optimism nauseates me. It is perverse. Since man's fall, his proper position in the universe has been one of misery.”
“A firm rule must be imposed upon our nation before it destroys itself. The United States needs some theology and geometry, some taste and decency. I suspect that we are teetering on the edge of the abyss.”
“I avoid that bleak first hour of the working day during which my still sluggish senses and body make ever chore a penance. I find that in arriving later, the work which I do perform is of a much higher quality.”
“So we see that even when Fortuna spins us downward, the wheel sometimes halts for a moment and we find ourselves in a good, small cycle within a larger bad cycle. The universe, of course, is based upon the principle of the circle within the circle. At the moment, I am in an inner circle. Of course, smaller circles within this circle are also possible.”
“I mingle with my peers or no one, and since I have no peers, I mingle with no one.”
“Once a person was asked to step into this brutal century, anything could happen” -John Kennedy Toole

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway". -Mother Teresa

Btw being an agnostic as I am, does't mean you cannot take the words from one who gives their life to god, and live by them yourself, especially if their words are as genius as the above:)

"Everybody loves you when you're six foot in the ground."
"I don't know which will go first - rock 'n' roll or Christianity."
"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there'd be peace."
"If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal."
"God is a concept by which we measure our pain."-John Lennon

"We, as humans, are all exactly the same, yet different in every single way"
-Jmr

(An intent to avoid)
I had a dream once
And in this dream I saw a light
And in this light arose a figure
And as the figure became myself
I saw myself in no one else
And then I saw the misery
A life that no one else could be
A hollow path that has no end
No sign of hope, no sign of friends
When I awoke, I did not feel
Although what passed, had felt so real
And so when next, from this dream I ascend
"A nightmare" I'll call it, and never a dream again! -Jmr

A riddle for you:
Figure out my riddle, as again I play this game, am I insane, or something more, 1000 times I`ve done this before, was the bedding made of bricks?

Guitar licks and movie flicks, stream through my head for kicks, then suddenly I hesitate, was that a mistake and when will I die, now seems the answers I must strive.

Family and friends, when will their time end, I tell myself ¨Stop worrying, close your eyes and play dead¨.

Money I owe, the times that I`ve lied, all of this tension stays wide awake inside.

I must find a switch that shuts off the main power, before I explode by the sound of another hour.

Ticking, tocking, lonesome and nothing more, the riddle I ask is, can you tell me what I`m looking for?

A shorter, easier(stoner)riddle:
If it takes me 7 roaches to roll a joint, and I have 49 roaches in total, how many joints can I roll?

Post or pm answer if you think you know it!

Hobbies:

Using the capabilities of the mind. Be it musical, artistic, educational or all three. Its all good. Oh yeah... and watching simultaniously moving pictures aptly named "movies" deemed adequate of one's undivided attention for 90 minutes. Can't get enough sports, wheather it be playing, watching, or betting on. That leads to my slightly obsessive fascination with poker, particularily texas hold'em, but who doesn't like texas hold'em?

I rather enjoy linking, so if you have a movie or show that's missing links or that's not here period, let me know and I'll do my best to to accommodate:)

Movies or Tv Shows I've either added to the site, or which had NO links: Aerosmith Live Texxas Jam '78, UFO Over Illinois, Hard Times(1975),Fâsuto sukuwaddo, Jeopardy, Dr.Phil, Kitchen Boss, Just Shoot Me, Grace Under Fire, Home Movies, Hale And Pace, Tales of the gun, The Guardian, Underbelly, Rex-A cop's best friend, Who's line is it anyway?,
