Whoa, wtf... busted karma button? O_O givin u some to make up the deficit.
Hi Baby! You must've been up around 4am to post that! Sorry you couldn't sleep
I love you!
Well foxylmc, as you didn't have the foresight to quote which post of mine to which you are referring, I can only assume that you don't understand the definition of SCIENTIFIC THEORY as it pertians to EVOLUTION. I'll post this on my own wall as it will probably be long & I don't mind an open discussion here.
"Fact" is often used by scientists to refer to experimental or empirical data or objective verifiable observations. "Fact" is also used in a wider sense to mean any theory for which there is overwhelming evidence. (And the evidence is overwhelming)
A quotation from H. J. Muller's "One Hundred Years Without Darwin Are Enough" explains the point further. ~There is no sharp line between speculation, hypothesis, theory, principle, and fact, but only a difference along a sliding scale, in the degree of probability of the idea. When we say a thing is a fact, then, we only mean that its probability is an extremely high one: so high that we are not bothered by doubt about it and are ready to act accordingly. Now in this use of the term fact, the only proper one, evolution is a fact.~
So, I doubt I contradicted myself. Rather, you misunderstood me.
The word "evolution", therefore, can be used to refer to the observed facts (i.e., the genealogical changes in humans over time, especially homo sapiens ) and the theory used to explain the facts (evolutionary processes). In this way, evolution is both a theory and a fact.
So please don't insult my intelligence, find the quote to which you are referring to & I'll be glad to explain myself. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time. I've been studying & researching this subject most of my childhood & all of my adult life. I make sure I can back any statement I make on this subject, so fire away mate.
The atrocities committed under the shield of christianity/catholicism over the centuries are astounding & appalling to say the least. I mean no disrespect to the good done by individual followers, I just believe they would act in that manner if churches never existed because some people are just inherently good.
The so-called reasons ( I can't, in good conscience, call it evidence) for faith are akin to the stories of the tooth fairy, easter bunny , & santa ( Although St. Nick appears to have been real, lol ) "If you don't believe, then you won't get any gift's under your tree" It matters not the kind of life you lead, only your sworn allegiance to your so-called "better".
this is toooo funny. Hope all you are just as happy when the end does come as you are today, lol. good luck!!
You contradicted yourself right off the bat. You said that evolution has been proved and then said it had not been proved in the same two sentences. Yes very intelligent indeed!
Seems to me you all protest to much.
I was extremely impressed by your comment on "the god who wasn't there"
You have a very diplomatic, tactful and respectful way of intelligently presenting your opinion. Not to mention your inhibition to express yourself freely is inspirational
Wish I could give you some more karma
You're comments on The God Who Wasn't There are so truthful, but whichever side you pick people will vote you're comment down because they are to immature to understand/don't want to understand other people's point of views.

Thank you both for the kind words
Those statements about T&T were just a reflection of how I felt after seeing the commercial for the show when it used to air here locally. My wife & I had felt much the same then as I expressed now & after seeing some of the comments actually supporting that show, well...
Thx again, truly! { karma always returned
}
Your articulate manner of voicing your beliefs is incredibly refreshing and I am glad we live in a world with people who genuinely care about the welfare of our future. Thank you for sharing your thoughts
+ KARMA!
Plus Karma just for your comments on Toddlers and Tiaras! I agree with you 110%! x
